Byron Leftwich or Andrew Walter

According to Adam Schefter, Atlanta is looking at both of these guys. They reportedly love Andrew Walter and think he is a "super fit" for Petrino's offense. Meanwhile, everyone knows Leftwich has talent. The question is whether his inconsistencies were due to the WR, or himself, (not that again!).

I would take Walter, he's younger, and hasnt been hurt as much, but both have had injury troubles

In this case I think the unknown is more exciting than the known. Andrew Walter has untapped potential; whereas Byron Leftwich has been above average at best, below average and hurt at worst.

hmmm, I like both of these QB's guys, lol what ever you decide is fine by me. I hope we get one of them though, Byron has a big arm and Walter looked horrible last year but 99% of that was probably his team. Both guys cant run. period

Falcons radio just made a good point, they dont think Leftwhich is the answer because he will probably want to start and may cause a riff on the team, they said its Joeys team now and you dont want a guy who isnt content with (at best) being a #2 QB

Both are pretty much the same guy, except Walter hasn't had the opportunity to succeed and one could argue Leftwich has.

you gotta take walter...i dont think leftwich gives u a better chance then harrington really, its not like u guys have better wr's then the jags, and leftwich wasnt putting up huge numbers there....id go with walter like shiver said, ceiling is higher, can be the #2 this yr and next year see what you have...

although it sucks he cant play this pre season with you guys, because if he had shown something in that offense, you wouldnt need to take a qb in the draft nxt yr at all, let alone first rd

yeah i get your point. Basically the same player, one is older and was unable to excel with a solid supporting cast i.e. O Line and good running game, the other is younger and was unable to excel with a terrible supporting cast all around as well as some of the worst coaching ever.

Byron looks like a baseball pitcher when he throws too, he take a huge step forward which means he has a very slow release.

It's a shame that the best Atlanta has at LT is Wayne Gandy and the team wants a vertical passing attack.

if the falcons want andrew walter they better hav a top offensive line in front of him or he will fail again. hes similar in some ways to drew bledsoe.

Give me Leftwhich. I'd love to have him on this team. Walter doesn't strike me as a Franchise-QB, and I'd like to pick one up next year in Brohm or Woodson.
