I have been to Five Guys 2 times since it has opened here. Average burger, so so fries and I have yet to see why they charge so much for that quality of food.(( nearly 6 bucks for a cheeseburger!)) I can go across town to a local burger place save money get more food that is of a better quality. Heck for a lil more I can go up to Ruby Tuesday and get their good hamburgers.

and the same can be said of in-n-out

A Five Guys just opened here in Mankato, apparently. I hear it's expensive though.

I've had five guys once since it came here, which actually was the 2nd day of the draft last year. The food was good, but I hated the atmosphere of the place (sorry, but I don't want to hear a bunch of people yelling while I'm trying to eat), so I haven't been back since. The fact that I felt like I was gonna have a heart attack all night afterwords may have contributed to that as well. I'm open to going back sometime, but it's not a place I would go to on a regular basis, everything about it was blood-pressure raising, haha.

expensive compared to a fast food burger sure but not expensive when you actually consider the quality of the burger your getting. the value is actually incredible in relationship to the price.

Meatheads > Five Guys.
Only had in-n-out once but it was a good fast food burger.

i don't buy that. a hamburger at in-n-out is 1.65. a double is 2.75. nowhere near the cost of five guys.

that's either complete insanity, or you have terrible places to get burgers where you live. for the cost of a five guys burger, you can go to an actual restaurant and get a much better burger.

a 5 guys burger cost $6. an average chain restaurant burger, that imo isnt as good as a 5 guys, is going to cost $10-$13 plus tip. sure you can get a great burger from somewhere like capital grille but now your talking $15+ range. ive been to all of the "best burgers in baltimore" restaurants and they all have fantastic burgers but again your talking on average $15 a burger at these "actual" restaurants. i love a good restaurant burger but rarely is it going to come in at 5 guys price point. we dont have in and outs on the west coast and 5 guys crushes all other fast food burgers around here.

Agreed. And I'm getting hot wings for the first time in a few months. Can't wait.

In n Out's prices have gone up considerably. A Double Double is $4.90 now - same as Five Guys' Big Cheeseburger. Burger, fries, and drink will put you up around $7-8, which was the same I paid yesterday at Five Guys.

it's 7-8 bucks for a meal at in-n-out, but the burger tastes a lot better then Five Guys, I tried again recently, since the one in DC didn't impress me.

Yeah, I will definitely give the nod to In n Out for burgers. I detest In n Out's fries, though (I hate little shoestring fries). The Cajun fries at Five Guys were heavenly.

I have a 5 Guys in less then 2 minutes walking distance and I've still only been there once. I think the place is terrible.

I don't get the Five Guys hate here. It's a quality burger in my opinion. I'll have to try those Cajun Fries. Sounds amazing.
