well in a pretty weak group of NFC quarterbacks, Favre has gotta be in as of right now.

I've been very impressed with Cullen Jenkins. He seems to make plays every week.

KGB is not a pro bowl player. He isnt even a starter, he is a role player. I would say the only perennial Pro Bowl players we have are kampman, favre, and barnett. maybe one of our CB's will make it this year but you have to remember it is a popularity contest, not about the most talented players.

Was just going to say something like this. KGB making it this year would be almost compareable if Mark Anderson were to make it for the Bears last year, just a specialist.

I would give Woodson the nod at CB before Harris.

He should have been there last year.

Not yet. Once he gets healthy, he'll start making more impact plays.

He probably has a better chance at the Pro Bowl but Harris takes the #1 receiver and does a good job of it.

Packers-
Atari Bigby, Nick Barnett, Aaron Kampman, Al Harris, Charles Woodson, Donald Driver, and Brett Favre will have a good shot if they keep up their pace.
Darkhorses: Donald Lee might have a chance in this weak year for NFC Tight End's. Our DT's have a shot: Ryan Pickett is massive in the run, keeps taking double teams. Johnny Jolly and Corey Williams just keep making plays. I think if the voting was absolutely correct they would all make it at least as alternates, honestly.

Favre is almost a lock due to improved play, team success, and lack of NFC QBs.
Barnett and Kampman should have very good chances, they are leaders of a good defense and they make plays every week, and have good stats.
At least 1 CB should have a decent chance - problem is they don't get enough chances because QBs always seem to avoid them. Woodson is playing better right now I think but Harris has been good in coverage as well.
Bigby is probably playing just good enough to make it but I'd be really surprised if he got the league recognition already to make a pro bowl this year.
I don't think anyone else on the DL makes it, lots of good but not outstanding players and most of them don't play close to 100% of the snaps.
No one on offense sticks out either, even Driver is having a down year and is unlikely to make it.

Right now, I have to go with:
Offense: Favre, Driver, not sure about the O-line. Prior to injury, I had thought Wells would have a shot. Maybe Clifton. Tausher hasn't previously gotten the respect and he's not having his best year. With how weak the run game is, not sure any lineman gets voted in. Donald Lee only has a shot if he triples his production.
Defense: Barnett having a great year, Kampman has a good shot, Woodson has some big plays that will stick in people's minds when voting. Harris does a good job, but with out the play-making numbers of picks or fumble recoveries, I don't think he makes it. Woodson also returns punts and got Defensive Player of the Week for the first time in his career. Not sure the DT rotation will get any love, due to the depth, but I love how Jolly is playing right now.KGB not likely given he's a situational rusher. Collins and Bigby don't have the numbers either.
Crosby recent three misses likely take him out of consideration and I don't think Ryan has a name as a big leg, though he punted very well against Chicago.
It will be interesting to see all those Pro-Bowlers from winning teams (Chicago) last year and if people will still vote them in, or if Dallas' and Green Bay's players will get more consideration as they are leading the NFC in wins at this point.

IMO pro bowl considerations go as follows:
Name > Reputation > Games won by team > Stats > Big plays > Play that year

The first release of selected voting rankings:
Favre, Barnett, and Woodson are leading their positions and are pretty much locks to make it.
Favre leads all vote getters. This is great and all. But look at everybody the Cowboys have. They truly are America's team and their fans fill up the ballots. They'll get like 10 or more and maybe 6 actually deserve it.

I don't see how Kampman could possibly be kept out.

Driver has no chance. He's definitely our best receiver and is still having a good year, but the TDs aren't there. If Jennings keeps this up he probably should and will get in.

I screamed bloody murder when Al Harris didn't get the nod last year, especially when he was overlooked for Piece of Trash Disgustingly Wearing Deion Sanders' Number in Atlanta, but it looks like the injustice won't be repeated this year. As someone who regarded Harris as a Top 5 corner last year (and not everyone agreed), it's good to see he's getting more of the recognition he deserves now that Green Bay has a better record.
