The show feels like a lecture and the audience doesn't have to do any independent thinking to realize what Sorkin is arguing. All tell, no show.

I don't think I took ownership of any criticisms as solely mine, though I object to your suggestion that I didn't notice the problems I've spelled out on my own. Criticisms of the show are prevalent, and obviously overlapping. You're more than welcome to ignore me and everyone you disagree with.

I finally finished The Shield. The ending was perfect and could not have been executed any better. Man that was some hard-hitting television. The one thing that really impressed me with the show overall was it's ability to connect everything together from start to finish. Breaking Bad obviously does an awesome job at this but The Shield deals with a lot more story lines and a lot more angles which makes it even more impressive. I'm not really one for cop shows but I really enjoyed this one. Overall just a very strong series.
