Espn is reporting a 6 year 67 million dollar deal with 31 mil. guaranteed. Not a bad gig huh?

No Manning signed 100 mil for 7 years, but still if Romo continues how he is doing this is a good deal as if they waited longer he could have demanded more, and in today's market this is nothing. I mean Dockery signed 50 mil and he's average at best, he was the worst starting O-lineman on his team and got 50 mil, so this contract is actually very good for a franchise signal caller.

Good for him...I just hope he continues to develop and doesn't become complacent after signing a huge deal.

Romo doesn't seem the type that would let the money change him. Complete opposite, as a matter of fact.
This could be a huge bargain if he continues to not only play like he has, but actually grow as a player. Love it.

I agree. From all the things he said during the last few months, I really don't think the contract was even remotely as big an issue for him as it was for the media.

What GREAT NEWS for today!!!!!!!
Very reasonable signing! Right below where I thought he'd get. Now all those rumors of him not signing or some team stealing him can go away. Those were irritating.

Ditto. Good for him. Nice to see an UDFA make it with work and good attitude.

From now on it is referred to as Marc Bulger syndrome when a player signs a lucrative contract and then busts for the rest of his career.

Great news, so glad this is taken care of now, so when the off season approaches we know exactly how much money we have to deal with...It feels good to finally have assurance at the qb position, something we havent had for about 10 years now...Hope Romo shows he earned that money from here on out, because a playoff win is a necessity
