T'wolves aren't taking 4 first round players. They just acquired 3 contract guys from Washington. They don't have roster space. I'd guess the 28 pick will be an international pick, or maybe the package 18+28 to try to move into late lottery range.

Hah awesome deal for the Wolves, as we picked up the number 5 pick for pieces that we basically had no interest in keeping. While I always liked Randy Foye back from his college days, he's simply not a very valuable player. He jacks up a lot of shots, but is either on or terribly off (aka he has terrible shooting percentages). Also, he can't play the point, drive to the left/finish with his left hand, can't guard opposing 2s despite the fact that its really the only position he can play and will already be 26 by the time the season starts. Then Mike Miller over the past year was our primary 3 point shooter who simply refused to shoot. He had the green light for seemingly the entire year, but simply would not shoot the ball, instead opting to try and create for others (which often resulted another guy putting up a contested shot). Honestly for anyone who thinks this move makes the Wolves worse are high. The only reason we had any success last year was due to our front court guys in Love and Jeff. This should allow us to boost not only the athleticism in our backcourt, but the defense as well. Hopefully the days of Sebass starting are over.

Yeah I'm really hoping we package those and try to move up around 11 to get a guy like Earl Clark and completely revamp our roster with young talent. On the other hand, I've heard that we like Jonas Jerebko, so don't be surprised if we take him if we do indeed keep pick 28.

Doubt it. Kahn already stated that he won't be doing that. If anything it'll be trading them for future picks.

Is say we trade our latter first rounders for a vet....too many young guys may not be the smartest move.

Any chance Minni gives up one of there early picks for Rondo? Rumor has it that Boston has fallen out of love with him and they are also looking to move up in the draft.

I'd trade the 18th pick for a dumb team who wants a player right now and end up getting a lottery pick in next years stronger draft.

I cant wait for this draft. Yeah, the players kind of blow, but there is nothing like total uncertainty to make a draft awesome. Especially when you actually attend......some guy hears about a trade or something from a friend watching on TV and u can literally see the rumor spread. Its really cool.

yea and there's so many whacky trades come NBA draft day. and most of the trades, if not all, are ones we didn't hear rumors of and those rumors end up being 100% false hahah

Well we do have quite a few front court expirings to make almost any deal work, so I wouldn't be too surprised if we were to do something there. Nevertheless, its gotta be the right deal. There's no point in bringing in someone just to take away time from our the young guys we'll have.
Oh and doubt it with Rondo. First of all, I think Boston would want too much for him in a deal. Second, he's gonna be commanding a huge contract in the not too distant future and I doubt Kahn would want to make that kind of commitment to him. It all really depends on what Boston would want to and how much they really value some of the guys in this draft.
With the Wolves, I would guess that two of the trio of Thabeet(I'm guessing he'll be gone but who knows), Curry and Evans will be members of the Wolves.

I liked the Knicks fans going apeshit when they heard about the Zach Randolph trade. Ha.

Hah yeah, that'd be nice. As it stands now though, it looks like we'll already have two picks in that draft in our own(last year of top ten protection from the clips via the awful Marko Jaric trade) and Utah's (either top 10 or 15 protected, can't remember.

2010 Draft Top 5:
1. Indiana Pacers
2. Golden State Warriors
3. Milwaukee Bucks
4. Detroit Pistons
5. Sacramento Kings
Central Division = terrible!

Yeah it was awesome. It was funny tho, a few guys in my section tried to rationalize it and my buddy and I just started destroying him and everyone else jumped on our side straight away. That another reason why the draft is sweet, almost everyone there knows their stuff and posers get laughed at. In general, you dont wait on line for like 5 hours if you dont know your stuff.
And another reason why the draft is sweet is ticket scalping.......you make serious bank on the extras that they let you buy.

Can anyone explain to me just what the hell the Pistons plan to do with all their cap space they gutted the roster to get?
Are they really gonna blow all their money this offseason and not in the 2010 free agent class?

The Bucks won't be that bad, I hope. A starting five of Ridnour, Redd, Alexander, Amir Johnson and Andrew Bogut should be alright. Add in our rookie point guard, Mbah a Moute, Kurt Thomas, Charlie Bell and our second round pick. Plus, Charlie V and Ramon Sessions may be back too. CV could possibly start at the 3.

i really kinda want to. Might be too late now, although my aunt lives in Manhattan. If I weren't on crutches, I think I'd look really hard at going haha. It'd be sweet to go. I'd rock my Sean Williams jersey

Yeah, if healthy I think the Bucks can be at worst a 35-40 win team.
