yes, but you have two extra years of the mike james contract, compared to Juwan Howard.

However, James offers us a lot more than Howard did/does and takes pressure off of Mac & Yao. The only real negative about the deal is it leaves us with a hole at the 4-spot (even IF Chuck Hayes re-signs) but that can be addressed through FA, draft, or trade.

Ainge is also in love with Brewer, I've heard that from multiple sources. I guess he had a great workout with them and if they stay at #5, he's my bet to go there. Because they won't take Thornton that high, at least they shouldn't take Thornton that high.

Chad Fraud is reporting that the Warriors are trying to move J-Rich in order to move up the draft order and get Yi. Yi would be huge in the Bay Area but I don't want to lose J-Rich and have Pietrus starting.

Will Pietrus even be back? He's a F/A and has expressed that if Nelson doesn't return, he wouldn't mind finding another team.

Ehh... I don't usually trust Chad Ford, but losing J-Rich would be a pretty bad move for the Warriors in my opinion.

Just because they won't take Thornton that high doesn't mean they won't take Thornton that high. And sources can be shaky at this point, Ainge is all over the place and I don't think Brewer had a fantastic workout there. Brewer would certainly be a nice fit next to the more offensive minded Green in the future though. Right now it probably doesn't matter who the C's are going to take at 5, because it looks like they won't be picking there. There's so many rumors about the pick, and so much interest in it, that you have to figure unless they love somebody there enough to not take a deal they'll deal down or deal the pick away completely.

That first sentence made no sense at all dezra, haha...
Oh and I've heard from a couple different places that Corey worked out really well and Ainge is very high on him. If Boston takes Al at #5, I'd consider it a huge reach.

Here is my updated mock draft (v. 1.1). Word is Atlanta is leaning towards taking Al Horford at 3 because he gives Atlanta the best chance to win now....and they need to win now.
1. POR: Greg Oden C Ohio State
2. SEA: Kevin Durant SF Texas
3. ATL: Al Horford PF Florida
4. MEM: Brandan Wright PF North Carolina
5. BOS: Yi Jianlian PF Shenzhen, China
6. MIL: Jeff Green SF Georgetown
7. MIN: Mike Conley Jr. PG Ohio State
8. CHA: Rodney Stuckey SG Eastern Washington
9. CHI: Spencer Hawes C Washington
10. SAC: Corey Brewer SG/SF Florida
11. ATL: Javaris Crittenton PG Georgia Tech
12. PHI: Joakim Noah PF Florida
13. NO: Al Thornton SF/PF Florida State
14. LAC: Julian Wright SF Kansas
Green means the player went higher than in Mock 1.0...red means otherwise. Doesn't mean I think less or more of the player, it just goes based on need. One exception is Stuckey, who imo will be the shocker on draft day.

Mark my words: if Brewer is still on the board for the Bobcats, they will select him. Jordan is in love with the kid. Threfore, I see Brewer at 7, and I think AC Law will go in the 14th spot because the clippers are very shaky at the 1.

As of now Lakers are not hot on the idea of trading Bynum, Lamar, and Kwame for JO and Troy Murphy which is what the warriors are asking for. Also watch out if he drops Bulls will take Conley at #9 and trade him with a contract to Portland for Zach Randolph.

Umm... Troy Murphy and O'Neal play for the Pacers. Just pointing that out.
Is Kwame in the deal for contract reasons?
For some reason I don't think Conley will be there at 9.

Wow holy crap i was really tired when I wrote that. What I meant is just because they shouldn't doesn't mean they won't. Sorry I'm an idiot...anyway Ainge is pretty crazy and he does all of that brain typing stuff to determine who he's going to pick, but at least from what I read off the C's website it seems like Thornton did really well too. Like one thing that I hope made sense, even though Ainge said Thornton possibly the #2 offensive player in the draft, he did say Brewer is NBA ready on the defensive end and Brewer could fit nicely next to GG.

Nor should they, that's a horrible trade. Better to stick w/ Odom, Bynum, and Brown.

Well looks like Brewer is the favorite for Minnesota if he falls. Stay tuned...Looks like Ghetto and I might have to change our mock around a bit.
:D

LA times, anyways if you look at the trade if it didn't include Kwame, it would have an 8.2 mil too much to the Lakers and conveniently Kwame makes 8.2 mil a year so trust me he is in the deal.

Brewer is a lock to Minnesota at #7 if he falls. He won't get to Charlotte, not from what I heard. FWIW

I wouldn't say he's a lock, as we supposedly really, really liked what we saw out of Noah at a recent workout and we are supposedly really high on Julian Wright as well. The possibility of Noah coming here probably took a decent hit when we acquired Howard though, so maybe my eyes won't have to burn his ugly ass face into my brain permanently.

Oh I'd say if Brewer is there Minnesota is taking him (assuming the big boys don't fall).

I have to admit, I don't like Brewer at all he is tied 3rd with me along with Julian, but I like Julian slightly more.

If you read it at the bottom of the blurb on hoopshype it said Kwame would also be included in the trade.
