Apparently Rubio said he has no objection to playing for the Wolves, the buyout is the only issue. I don't know if that's the truth but if it is, we need to find a way to get his ass over here.

Well, lets wait and see what happens. I know Kahn is praying that he can figure out how to get him to Minny

the points are obviously impressive, but its the way he passed, especially out of doubles, that really shocked me. zero turnover despite having the ball in his hands seemingly the entire game is more of a progression then anything scoring wise.
Just finished with that video, and I gotta say... wow. If that dude doesn't work for ESPN or Fox Sports, they need to hire him immediately.
Vince Carter provides us with so much that we need. He steps in as a leader and a dominant voice in the locker room, and will hold down the fort as the voice of the team until Howard decides to take up the mantle.
He provides us with an explosive winger that can create his own shot, something we've never had.
He provides us with a guy who will go for a bare minimum of 16/4/3 every game, and most of the time will go for 20/5/5 or better.
If we can manage to figure out a stable, consistant lineup (ideally consisting of Nelson/Carter/Rashard/Bass/Howard) and if our new bench can gel together, the Magic will be even better than last year.
The Mavs are rumored to be interested. All we have is the MLE unless a S&T is worked out.
PG: Kidd
SG: Howard
SF: Odom
PF: Marion
C: Nowitzki
Or have Odom at C, Marion at SF and Dirk at PF. Doesn't really fit Carlisle style of coaching though. But imagining Kidd running the floor with those guys does make me randy.
Ouch, a pulled offer=a pissed off Dr. Buss, which means in all likelihood it's over. Odom wants to be a Laker, but 4/36 or 3/30 is incredibly high end for a sixth man. You'd think all the years he was pulling in superstar money but only showing up every once in a while would factor into his decision here, but alas.
Time to look up some sign and trades. Pry away Beasley maybe? Would like to see him and Bynum mature together.

That's still 3 guys not playing their natural position, and Dirk at C makes me shudder at the thought of his defense, but it's better then what we have now still.
We would still need some guys like Bass to come off the bench and rebound, and we were already short of those type of guys before he left.

Those kids more than likely paid good money to go to that camp so I would have let the kid score something. Everyone knows Kobe would win 1 on 1 anyways.
Ric Bucher is saying on his twitter
"Truth on LO? I'm bored w/the story. He can't get more $ elsewhere. Lakers can't get anybody like him. They'll figure it out."
so thats what i am thinking too.

Bucher spent the whole summer of 07 talking about how Kobe would never in a million years be a Laker again, so if anything the above quote has me more concerned than anything else.
Randolph won't be getting 20+ shots a game for Golden State in the regular season. It appears they've given him the green light to shoot and attack whenever he wants to. He is still out of control at times and needs to sit back and let the game come to him, I think he's being over-aggressive right now but the talent he's going against isn't good enough to stop him.
Love his potential though. He seems to be coming into his own which is fun to see.

**** Dr. Buss! Give him the ******* money because when no one else was playing in the playoffs.. Lamar was still playing D and pullin' in rebounds
Buss offered 10 mill a year...that's too much for a 6th man, even one of Odom's caliber. I'm not on the despair train like I see a lot of Laker fans are, because I've thrown too many shoes at the wall yelling "Where the **** are you Odom?!" over the last five years. I would take a less talented, more consistent player vs. overpaying for Lamar, although obviously it would make me sad.
Flip him for Rubio's rights! lol what an experiment THAT would be.
More realistically, Joe Smith is still out there. If Bynum and Mbenga step up, a vet big man like Joe could fit in nicely. Stay away from Gooden though, he is unbelievably more spacey than Lamar.

I agree completely, I can't stand how inconsistent Lamar is at times. A sign and trade deal for a decent 6th man would be more than fine with me.
