If underrating the Magic in your opinion is them losing more than 15 games and Boston potentially beating them in the East...then you are severly overrating the Magic

I think that there is no way that the Bulls get a 4th Seed. I think it is likely a 7th or 8th seed.

Thats 9 not 8, but it's close to what I think...but I got it Cavs/Celtics/Magic/Hawks in that order for the first half, and my second half is pretty much the same as yours.

All I said is I had the feeling. No predictions, no nothing. Gee ma neezzzzz.
I mean... it COULD happen. Not saying it WILL. Their bench has looked amazing in the preseason so far.
Ryan Anderson FTW!!!

I'm really excited about Rashard Lewis this year. Almost by default he needs to start playing small forward more, considering how deep we are at PF now.
Rashard DESTROYS small forwards on offense. With only the rare exception, they lack the size and strength to handle him and his varied skillset. The problem is that often Rashard isn't quick enough to defend them.
We'll see.

Come on everybody, we all know Shaq and Lebron teaming up is going to create a force never before seen in the NBA that will sweep away all other pretenders.

Just wanted to see Twill looked very good today, showed off a left hand he didn't have, shot pretty well and even ran the offense for a while. Kid was so under-rated in this draft.

Going to try to follow the Wolves semi closely this year. It was so hard with McHale ruining children's lives.
Actually semi-excited to see Flynn, Jefferson, Sessions, and in 4-6 weeks, Love. Just need a solid wing and the team could do some damage and potentially make the playoffs next year.

Really sucks that Love got hurt last night. He looks remarkably trimmer/more athletic this year and was on his way towards really opening some eyes this year IMO. Oh well, the string of Wolves picks getting hurt in their second year continues. Let's just hope this is it for K-Love.

Jonny Flynn....worries me. He turns the ball over wayyyyy to much. He's a great playmaker but sometimes we don't need someone that will make one great play for every 2 bonehead plays. But if he can improve his decision making we have a great player there.
And yeah, we really didn't need that Love injury.

Oh boy I am so excited to see Tyreke Evans in Sacramento. He's got the kind of athleticism and potential to bring exciting basketball back to Sacramento. Coming in right now, I expect him to be exciting and make a lot of mistakes at the same time. It's the future that gets me giddy--I can't remember the last time the Kings had a blue-chip guy like him.

Orlando should be really good again, but I think putting Shard at the 3 will hurt them in the playoffs against Cleveland. The reason they won last year is because Cleveland had nobody to guard Dwight(Shaq will help in this regard, in that he's at least a strong, big body. won't shut him down, but better than anyone else on the roster), and when the doubles came, they came off of the 3 point line, where there were 4 shooters waiting to make them pay. And, although Rashard is a great offensive 3 because his size and skill is hard to guard, LeBron is the guy who can do it. Magic can definitely still win that series with a healthy Jameer Nelson, but it will be a damn tough series.
Much as I hate to say it, I think a healthy Lakers team is near impossible to beat.

Against Cleveland the Magic would shift back to that four shooter/one post guy look, with Pietrus logging heavy minutes guarding LeBron.

Yep, totally with you there, although i've loved watching Martin, Hawes and Thompson develop over the years (year, for Thompson). Ty is such a stud, and he's gonna help take this team to the top again, i have no doubt about it. I see so much D-Wade in him it's not even funny.
I think at the end of the day, we're still gonna need to put a true PG out there, but Evans can handle that role for now. Eventually i see him sliding in at SG and having Martin play more SF. It's already been established that size isn't gonna be this team's strength, so why not.
As much as i'm totally jacked up for watching Evans, i'm REALLY excited about Spencer. He's just a straight baller. He has as much talent as anyone out there.

The only thing that worries me right now about Spencer is his low game. He was working this offseason to bulk up and get stronger so he can be more effective down low but he's still getting manhandled by other team's bigs. Looking to the future, I've got to be honest that I'm split right now as to what is more important to me, PG or C... I'm wondering if the Kings might need to draft a stronger presence down low.

Of course it's a homer statement, but that doesn't mean it might not come true. I know they'll win over 60 games. What's 7 more?
|
I can see it. There are 4 teams head and shoulders above the others: Orlando, Cleveland, Boston and LA. All 4 of those teams should win over 60 easily, provided they stay healthy.
