That's not saying a whole lot, imo. Both are pretty average coaches with great teams. Mike Brown is absolutely horrible at making adjustments.

Bwhahahahaha. Mike Brown may be a good X's and O's guy on defense but he has no idea idea what the **** he's doing on offense and he's not a leader.
A head coach has to be more than an X's and O's guy. Mike Brown has the absolutely zero intangibles as a coach.

That was my point. If Doc Rivers is good enough, then Mike Brown is good enough. Not saying either are good but SVG is the best of the three.

Doc also has a stacked roster. Mike's is more focused on 1 player with a supporting cast.
Mike Brown is not good enough for that team. He'd be fine on a team like L.A., Orlando, San Antonio, etc that could make up for his coaching deficiencies but until Cleveland gets rid of him, they will fall short of a title.
M.O.T.H. is right, he's horrible at adjusting.

I'd almost be willing to say that SVG might be the best coach of the top four teams (Magic/Celtics/Cavs/Lakers). That's not to say that SVG has more coaching talent than Phil Jackson... he doesn't. But I think SVG puts in the time and energy that Jackson maybe doesn't at this point in his career.

I didnt realize that Thabo is starting over Harden in the early get go. He just signed a 4 year extension today. OKC is beating up on those Kings.

The Spurs are in there as well and Pop is the best coach of the five.
And I know that Brown sucks at adjustments but he has taken the Cavs to the finals once so I'm sure he could do it again. Outsmarting Pop or Phil though just isn't happening.

Chris Paul needs some help. West is a solid player but other than that, his team blows.

There's a reason I pointedly avoided adding Popovich to that group. He's the best coach in the NBA.

LeBron took the Cavs to the Finals and the East blew that year. That's not saying much.
And yeah, the Spurs have to be mentioned with Orlando, Los Angeles, Boston, and Cleveland. Popovich is the best coach out of the 5, followed by SVG. Then I'd go Phil, Rivers, and Brown.
Hell outsmarting SVG isn't going to happen.

Orlando Magic have 100 points at the end of the third quarter.
This is like a freaking video game. 76ers aren't playing THAT bad, but the Magic are nailing every open three.

Defensively and on the boards. Offensively he's still limited.
Peja sucks now, Peterson isn't very good, Wright is still raw talent, Songalia has lost a couple steps...West and Okefor are a decent supporting cast but he needs some help. I don't like CP3 but I respect how good he is. The only reason New Orleans isn't getting completely blown out right now is because for about 3 minutes he carried them on offense.

Wow. Sexy, sexy turnaround fadeaway 15-foot J by Brandon Bass.
If LeBron James had done that, the announcers would have pissed their pants.

You can say what you want about Mike Brown but inserting Boobie into the lineup to start the second half was brilliant on his part.
