I believe that Oden is going to be a better player in the NBA than Durant both immediately and in the future. He has more upside and he's more NBA ready at this point. He will earn a ton of minutes just by playing defense and rebounding. He has all the tools to develop into a star on offence and I think he will quite quickly because he'll be getting a lot of opportunities with all the minutes he's playing.

Definitely weird that he would commit to a college before he's even stepped foot into a high school classroom. I can't see this ending well.

They want Thornton I believe but I don't think he'll be there.

NCAA needs to do something about that in my opinion. Kids should at least have to be Juniors in high school or something.

Wow, I know I always said I love the potential on the kid, but he hasn't proven anything yet, but teams like the Nets and Cavs might offer Andray Blatche the MLE, that is really shocking.

Does that move by Danny Ferry surprise you? Really? Larry "I can't shoot" Hughes, Donyell "Brick" Marshall, Zydrunas "This team needs to run but I'm too slow and holding them back" Ilgauskas, Damon "I play basketball?" Jones, Drew "You're passing to me?" Gooden, and Ira "I can't believe you guys traded for a first for me" Newble are several of the Cavaliers, excuse me, casualties of Ferry's tenure as GM.

I do not think its shocking at all. If Blatche would have went to college he would be in this years draft class. I couldnt see him falling out of the top 10 if he were in this draft. I really hope we can hold on to him.

If Danny Ferry offers a 3rd center on a backcourt based team a long term deal, he'll be present at the next atrocious GM summit. I guarantee it. 3.7 ppg... and shooting threes! Ferry would totally do this!

Skip Bayless just said he's not sure who will block more shots in the NBA, Kevin Durant or Greg Oden. After all, Durant blocked more in college.

GS, supposedly Jamon Gordon is a point who was fairly impressive, especially defensively, in a recent workout with the Hawks. I really haven't heard much about him, is there anything you can tell me? Will he probably go undrafted, or is he starting to move up into the round 2 range because of good workouts?

He is a player who I really like, mid round 2 at best but could easily go undrafted, but I'm sure either way some NBA team will pick him up. Defensively he is in elite status in this draft in terms of guards. He is the reigning ACC defensive player of the year. Some of the quickest hands I have ever seen, the opponents know he is going for the theft, yet somehow he always manages to get it, also a great man defender. He is very athletic, a hard worker, and does the little things, problem though is his true position. At 6-2" he is closer in skills to a SG than PG. He has a good handle and can score in spurts and his vision is good, but he has never run a team full time. If he can prove in these workouts that he can play the point he will surely find a way on an NBA roster. His teammates Zabian Dowdell and Coleman Collins are better prospects though, but Vatech could easily see 3 players drafted this year. Next year Tech player Deron Washington has a shot at the first round and another prospect they have who will be interesting to see is AD Vasallo.

Yes but 5 mil a year for a guy who has proven nothing seems a bit much for me.
