How about Marcus Thornton tonight? 37 points on 15-22 shooting. Always loved him at LSU.

Despite not having premium draft picks, the Hornets might have scored best with their 2009 draft in getting Collison and Marcus, especially how late they did both.

I know, I was the first person to say it after the game.

And it's still hilarious.

I hate ESPN

they have devoted about 30 minutes of this nba show(fastbreak?) talking about how hot the Thunder are, the Suns have the exact same record over the last 11 games(the number they keep using) as the Thunder and we just beat them without Steve Nash

and we passed them in the standings while doing so

Suns have been a playoff team for a while. The Thunder are an up and coming team that hasnt made the playoffs for a while.

Granted, Orlando had some older players last year...opposed to the Thunder or the Hawks.

But dammit, Otis should have let his team continue to grow together because, there was still a lot of potential in that group...and they were still considered an up and comer, last season. I know D talks about how they couldnt stay "status quo" but, teams do get better given time. It just disappoints me.

edit...at least I've warmed up to the current team a bit more but, last year's group was still better.

Thunder are a hot story and obviously Durant is teh sex. Suns have spent plenty of time in the ESPN Hand Job machine.

And these 'Kobe/Lebron over X amount of time' arguments are completely pointless. Try arguing Lakers v. Cavs over any timespan and see how long that lasts. It's a team sport people.

Well, we know the Cavs are better than the Lakers. LeBron would rather rap than pay attention to the game.

I won't judge an individual player on a team statistic.

I will judge him on these though.

7 seconds or less era featured plenty of Sun slobbing, that's my recollection. But maybe I'm still a little bitter that Nash got the mvp in 05 when Kobe averaged like 35.

KCJ bruce is just talking about rapping ability.

Wizards called up former Houston Rocket F Mike Harris from the D-League. The 6'6 235 lb Harris was averaging 26 ppg + 10 rpg in 28 games with the Vipers.

He was rated as the number 1 NBADL prospect here: http://www.ridiculousupside.com/2010...ll-up-rankings

I really like this move, he's an athletic tweener who seems to be all hustle and will bring some nice energy off the bench. He's also supposedly been working on his mid range game. At this point in the season what does it hurt to give some of these D-League guys an opportunity to see if one of them can stick with the team. We are supposedly still interested in Morris Almond and Reggie Williams. I would love to bring up Williams, watched him play for VMI in college, he's a 6'6 SG who is only 23 years old and is currently averaging, 26-5-3 in the DL. Also wouldn't mind looking at PG JamesOn Curry.

I still think this years team is better. They've had chemistry problems, but I think they've looked much more like the team we thought they would be since the All Star break.

Howard is hitting free throws, Vince is coming alive when he needs to (pissed me off for 3 qtr's in that cavs game though!!) and Jameer is finally healthy.

Give them a chance to gel.

Only regret I have is losing Courtney Lee. I still maintain the same sentiments I had about Hedo last year which is overrated chucker that thinks he's Kobe in the 4th qtr and makes so many mistakes in qtr's 1-3 that he's not worth the 4th qtr output.

I actually enjoy watching the Wizards now, particularly because, of two popular names in here Blatche and Thornton. Once again, they're the only two doing anything for the Wizards. Marc Gasol is perfect from the field tonight for Memphis. ha.

As for the Magic...

Howard starts off the game with two fouls in the first 22 seconds. Neat.

The Wiz are all energy and hustle now, it's fun to watch a bunch of guys try and make a name for themselves when they usually wouldn't be getting a chance. My interest level in Wiz basketball went down after Gungate but my interest is on the rise again since we blew the team up.

PS: I Don't know if you seen it but Nick Young posterized Hamed Hadaddi earlier in the game, it was pretty sweet.

Nah I missed that. I've been tuning in and out of the game and now I'm just watching Orlando. Gortat is all over the floor. Love the hustle! 5 boards so far.

edit...4 points, 7 boards. Not bad for a quarter's work Mr. Polish Hammer.

Most of that was against the Knicks who are the softest team in the paint its really not that impressive.
