There is no way the Lakers could get Chauncey....
If the Magic could some how deal Jameer, I'd be all for us giving him some cash...

Not that it's a good judge at all but, how many reps did Oden do?

Wow, all we got for him was half a year of Gary Payton and Desmond Mason. That was 4 years ago too when he was only 28 and in his prime. We do have Redd, but I still hate George Karl for that.

It's looking more and more likely that Ray Allen is going to get traded. He would be perfect for the Magic IMO, he could even be a mentor to a young J.J. Redick and hold down the starting job until J.J. is ready...
Lets get him Otis...

The Toronto Raptors have been trying to find backup point guard Jose Calderon a new home.
Once free agency starts, the Raptors have their mid-level exception set aside for the Golden State Warriors' Mickael Pietrus, who could start for them next season at small forward.

Reported on ESPN: Garnett coming to the Lakers will have not effect on Kobe's demands. His camp reiterated that he does want a trade.

I hate the new hawks jerseys, I think the old ones looked fine.

This was actually a scenario I was considering in our NBA Mock... The possibily of bringing in Garnett and still trading Kobe...
Garnett, Wallace, Gordon...isnt a bad nucleus either.

I say **** him.. Trade his ass! He maybe all the Lakers have right now, but if he doesn't want to play for us don't force it.

Oh, makes sense...ha. It's not a good judge of how strong the player is at all...Long arms, complicates things in the weight room. Dwight Howard barely did 7. I have a feeling Dwight would do a lot more now. haha.

Ehh.. I don't agree with either of those assessments.

Bench press is useless in the nba, not completely but the long arms makes it harder. Some linemen in NFL do more becuase of Shorter Arms

how is Oden better than Durant? Did you watch any Texas games last year? While Oden had 2 lottery picks in Cooks and Conley, Durant had no one to help his team win. Durant carried Texas to the tourny, I think Durant will and can turn a franchise around like LeBron has done. the Supersonics are very very lucky

Durant is better right now, Oden still has tons of potential on his offensive game, but he needs to develop some post moves. I like Durant better too, just playing some devils advocate.

Erm, I was referring to your player comparisons there, buddy.

In NCAA Durant might be better, but not in the NBA. Oden will almost assuredly be an immediate presence on defence and the boards in the NBA. Also, he should score a fair amount of points just by running the floor well, grabbing offensive rebounds, and being open for easy dunks.
Durant, on the other hand, could have a much more difficult time transitioning to the NBA. He should eventually develop into a deadly inside-outside scorer but he's not there yet when it comes to the NBA. He's too slender to be a true inside threat so that part of his game will be a few years away likely. His outside game and shooting is good but it's not going to blow anybody away immediately as he will likely have trouble driving the lane until he bulks up a bit. Durant isn't nearly as close to NBA-ready as Oden is so saying he's better right now is simply false.

Oden is not the freak Howard is... and he never will be...could he end up being better yes, he's much more well rounded but, that isnt a great comparison. He's in the David Robinson mold, exactly.

I dont like this rumored trade for the Wolves at all. Only the #5 and #19 for KG? How do you go from one week getting Al Jefferson, Gerald Green and the #5, then the next only getting the fifth and nineteenth. If the wolves trade with the celtics, I would make it mandatory that Jefferson was involved, and if that wasnt possible, Green would be a good consolation
