Bottom line is that anyone who flashes even a glimpse of looking like some kind of force at the center position is a hugely valuable commodity. How many legit big men are there in the NBA right now? not many at all.
That's just not true. At all. Teams are very wary of that kind of thing happening, and I really can't think of any instances in the last several years where a guy puts together a string of big games, cashes in and does nothing for the entirety of his contract. No instances at all.

it's funny coz he's fat
Guys like james get paid because there was even the chance of being a big time center. Hence Gortat's contract. but I still think he's pretty legit.
Bad signing in the first place. I don't trust power forwards that don't/can't rebound.
Signed him to play SF, but Hedo emerged as a starter again. Lewis is still playing out of position...he is a SF first, but having him at the 4 has worked very well over the years. Seems like it's finally wearing him down, though.
He hasnt played as well this year. Well, it's more playing uninspired ball and he and Carter dont play well together.
agreed 100%. The whole playing Carter at SF thing with Reddick at SG is a failure. We need to just bench Carter altogether, he can't cover Pierce and he isn't doing enough offensively to justify keeping him out there. Start Reddick at SG, Lewis at SF, and give Bass/Anderson some freaking playing time.
how much time does Anderson see down in Orlando? he imporved so well with every game for the Nets...and I'd ******* kill to have him back here, starting at the 4, getting Yi the **** out. so ******* stupid Nets...that was the dumbest part of the deal, giving him up.
and ohhh SVG, if you mess up his growth, I'mma come after you

Don’t start with me :(
Suns or Lakers tonight? Does Amare have another fantastic game?
Do you guys think if the Lakers lose this series (not saying I think they are) that Phil Jackson is leaving?

I think even if they win a Title he'd opt to leave if he could coach Lebron. I mean he doesn't have much else to do with his legacy, but can you imagine if he left and won another title with Lebron? Kobe, Shaq, Jordan, & Lebron will be up there with the all-time greats when he's finished and he may be intrigued by the idea of coaching him and trying to win the title.
I still like the idea of Calipari coaching Chicago with Rose, Lebron, and Bosh.

that and turning one of the 5 70 loss teams in history around to becoming the NBA champions led by Lebron and the sex Brook Lopez. yea, let's do it up Phil. add to the legacy baby.
