Horrible game for the Lakers. Absolutely horrible. Everything went wrong for them, and almost everything went right for the Celtics.

Lakers 1 - Refs, uh, Celtics 1.

Refusing to box-out Rajon Rondo probably hurt a little as well.

The good thing is that we cant expect Ray Allen to repeat that performance.

Secondly, We can't expect Kobe to have another bad game.

The bigs played how I would hope they would play outside of gasol attempting only 1 shot in the fourth.

Lakers got 41 FT attempts to the Celtics 26

the refs were terrible but they certainly didn't favor the Celtics

what about when the refs gave the celtics the ball in crunch time when garnett clearly was the last to touch the ball?

I know some calls went the Lakers way, but it's always relieveing to blame the refs, lol.

Still, the Garnett missed call (with replay, mind you), a couple of Kobe's fouls, and a couple of non-calls on Perkins' and Garnett's screens really pissed me off.

So apparently the Blazers are targeting Jerry West for their GM spot, since they want to replace Kevin Pritchard so bad.

If this happens, the Pistons MUST fire Dumars and hire Pritchard.. MUST!

Well, we should at least fire Dumars. Can we hire Donnie Walsh and have him clear out our contracts?

West will trade Brandon Roy to the Lakers for Sasha. And a piece of cake.

If Ariza was still here, Pierce would be in discussion for Finals MVP if the C's win. Now if the C's win Pierce will be watching Rondo the bottom of the podium.

Ariza is a decent defender but he wouldn't be able to body up and frustrate Pierce as much as Artest did.

Artest just needs to STOP SHOOTING THE BALL!

I seriously don't know why they keep passing him the ball. Don't do it. I can see him taking 2 or 3 threes per game, with a couple of more shots close to the rim, but not launching them at will. And only if he's completely open.

1-10 FG, 1-6 from 3

Rondo is overrated. Andre Miller with a worse shot. Nate at 5'8 was more effective this game and every other game.

rondo is terrible when he's not around the basket, but who gives a damn? he's got disgusting vision and passing ability, he's scrappy and gets way more rebounds than he should, he's a terrific finisher (that 6'7" wingspan helps). he'll consistently put up 10/9/4, and i actually think he's underrated, people just start riding his jock too hard come the playoffs when they realize that he's actually really good after not seeing much of him all season.

Kimmel went after the refs on Twitter, lol.

"These refs should be imprisoned"

"I didn't know Jim Joyce worked NBA games too"

"bad calls both ways no doubt - but seriously...Kobe had to sit most of the 3rd q for nothing at all. Refs robbed us all of a close game."

This is all speculation but, I really think the foul trouble was the reason for Kobe's poor shooting night. He was scared of picking up another foul so it essentially took away his ability to drive. That allowed Boston to exploit this and not allow him a comfortable cushion to be able to take good shots with.

ie: you play a guy close he has the ability to drive past you. You give him a cushion you take away his ability to drive and you force him to shoot. However the foul trouble took away his ability to drive so it allowed Ray Allen to play closer to him and essentially not give kobe any comfortable looks.

Also, do refs ever go home and watch replays of the game and see everything they did wrong?

I'm pretty sure that's in the job description. Not only do they go over the game, but i think the league reviews it as well.

That one was ridiculous and could have had just as much, if not more of an impact than the out of bounds call. And I can see why they didn't overturn theh out of bounds call. They called it on Gasol, and when they watched the replay it was close enough (though I agree that Garnett touched it last) that they couldn't justify overturning the live call. You can't blame the refs for the Lakers losing...at all. The Lakers had far more bad calls go their way.

Ray Allen blew the socks off the Lakers and Rondo finished the game. You can also say that Odom, Fisher, whoever didn't show up...but then go look at the lines for Garnett and Pierce... The C's didn't play their best ball. I think a lot of judgement is skewed because the Lakers played the best they could ever possibly hope to play in that game...that was everything they had, and the C's were in that game on an off night in LA.

Yeah I was just going to say the Wolves are looking at Rudy.. in other news Tom Izzo getting looked at for the Cavs job? hahaha he actually could be a good fit maybe but they will offer anybody the job nowadays.

As for the game, the Rondo overrated comment was funny. Not sure if the outcome would be any different if the refs made the right call on that Garnett play where it should have been LA ball. Absolutely loved KG coming out fresh off the tip scoring, you can't rely on Fish to play big every night and Rondo can play above average defense. On the whole Artest thing, we seen the one game where he closed out a talented Suns team but that won't always happen. Let him take GOOD shots and if he keeps missing he better do what he was brought into to do... play defense. Ariza would have trouble with Pierce imo, and a few pages back I said Ariza was the person to have.. not too sure about that anymore.
