What is the best site for the latest rumors and news?
I read on rotoworld that Amare isn't talking to the Suns anymore and that he's leaning toward signing with the Knicks.

Bwahahahahaha. This is just classic. Granted, I think the Nets have a better shot than people are giving them in the LeBron sweepstakes, but I just cracked up when I read that. I guess teams really are pulling out all the stops.
I can only imagine what we do in our pitch. I say our brass come in with headbands on to break the ice (we have a no headband rule currently).

The clothing/fragrance line certainly would go a long way in helping LeBron become the first billionaire athlete. Jay-Z could become a big factor in all of this.

Suns won't offer more than a 4 year max for Amar'e, a lot of teams he has visited have made the same offer(less money) because they don't trust his knees, but I do believe the Knicks would be desperate enough to top it

Why does LeBron need Jay freaking Z to start a clothing line? He's already one of the biggest stars in the world lol...
What is Jay-Z going to give him some amazing advice? He could team up with any clothing line tycoon regardless of what team he's on lol...
People don't realize that the "star" angle of NY/NJ isn't much of a multiplier for a guy who is already world-renowned and globally recognized.
Anything he wants to achieve business-wise, he can achieve anywhere - he's already that marketable and his star is already that gigantic.

LeBron really isn't as "world renowned" as people think, his is probably top 5 for basketball but as far as athletes I bet he is only top 50

Yeah, you're right. Anyways, it will help LeBron to become the second billionaire athlete in the world.

hmm well ill give you an example: Jordans started off a subdivision of Nike.
Shaq started his shoe brand from scratch.
Also, I really dont like how he straight up come out and said he wants to be a billionaire athlete but if he's serious about it he needs to find a way to appeal to China.
His best business move might even be to play with Yao Ming. Lol.

His jersey sales are only top-5 in China and in Europe. A move to New York would help big time. He wouldn't win, but he would make a lot of money. (then again, LeBron + Bosh would probably be at the top of the East regardless of where they go)
Question: if he goes to New York, wouldn't it make the most sense to put him at "PG." He would be like Magic Johnson + 60 lbs. of muscle. It wouldn't be preferable, but the Knicks don't have anyone there.

Thats kind of the plan.. they want Lebron to have a Magic Johnson like role in their offense, and they feel Toney Douglas is a great PG to compliment him. Douglas doesn’t need the ball in his hands, he isn’t really a natural PG, but its not like Lebron doesn’t do those things. However, Toney’s great defense and ability to hit down the critical jumper make the Knicks feel he is an excellent PG to play alongside him.
He wouldn’t be the official “PG”, but he like in Cleveland or wherever he goes would be the one initiating the offense.

fenikz, as much pure sex that'd be, I see us getting Lebron and Boozer. But then again, Lebron said something in the Nets meeting about 2 max contracts, so I'm wondering if he REALLY wants to play with Bosh. But he did have Olympic experience with Boozer too. I think Bosh goes with Wade to Miami and I'd like Boozer and LBJ here
also, I found it hilarious that D'Antoni said they tried to put Lebron in a "New York state of mind". Hilarious considering the Nets are:
A) moving to Brookyln, Lebron's favorite borough in 2 years and
B) well...come on...new york state of mind...empire state of mind...Jay-Z. anyone see a connection? no? just me?
