The Bulls would be better off signing Boozer (or Lee), along with some shooters (Ray Allen, Mike Miller, Kyle Korver) to compliment Derrick Rose. Signing Dwyane Wade would completely be a waste of Rose's skills, and Rose is too good for that. These talks depress me.

Rose is not even close to overrated. There is no doubt in my mind that in two years at the most (barring injury), Rose will be a better player than Wade.

if Wade is already declining at 30 and Rose hits his prime at 22 you might be on to something

No joke. Derrick Rose's potential is off the charts good. Thibodeau will get him to become a shutdown defender.

So stunt the development of a guy who could easily be a top five player in a very short time to sign someone who is 28 and injury prone?

Wouldn't it be hilarious if Wade and Bosh go to Chicago and LeBron is left all on his own? He could team with Joe Johnson or Amare I suppose, but a team with Rose, Wade, Bosh and Noah would be the favorites from day-1.

Rose could be overrated in terms of what you're looking for in a PG.
He'll never be a pass first PG. If you're looking for another like CP3 from him, you'll be severely dissapointed.
And most bulls fans are going to argue "he had to score cause the bulls dont have anyone else on their team that can score!"
Don't give me that... Chris Paul made Tyson Chandler look like an allstar.
However, he does have the potential to be another Baron Davis or maybe even Allen Iverson. Keep in mind though that those PGs had a decent three ball.

The Bulls apparently don't see it the way you do...they've been all over Wade since the start of this.

Paul also had a very good scoring big man next to Tyson Chandler in David West, something Rose has never had. As for making Chandler look like an all star, his career high in PPG is 11.8.

When was the last time an elite, pass-first PG won a title? You have to go back to Isiah. In today's NBA, you need good ball movement from all positions and scoring options on the perimeter (like Rose) to win a championship.

well, I don't think the reason all the pass first PGs they didn't win a title is because they were pass first PGs. I think it just so happened that the recent champions had a better team.

I wonder how many other offers Amir Johnson would have received? He has been getting contracts based off his potential since the Pistons drafted him.

The amount was definitely surprising. Coming off a similarly promising season full of potential a few years back, Andray Blatche only signed for 4 years/15 mil.

Exactly. John Stockton would of had multiple had it not been for Michael Jordan. Other then that, you just don't find too many pure, true PG's that are pass first. I think Deron Williams is but some still don't even classify him as that, but if he gets the right type of team around him I think he's good enough to win a ring.
I think it's funny how some people started trying to rank Rondo above him just for becoming prisoners of the moment. No way in hell I take Rondo over Deron and that's no disrespect to Rondo at all.

Hell no, and as I've said plenty of times he's not even that type of player who can be that good by not handling the ball. Chicago sounds like they are just getting antsy to throw cash around and not trying to build a team the proper way.
That's the same reasons I don't think Wade and LBJ fit, both guys need the ball in their hands too much, neither one is going to be fine with letting Rose handle the ball consistently and playing off ball off of screens etc. Sounds like the teams with cap room are just throwing money around and not worrying about how the **** their trying to put together doesn't fit at all.

Regardless of fit Dwade would make the team better. As fans you'd hate to see Drose step back into a 16+7 type role and not an allstar but the Bulls success is more important than Rose.

It's not even really stepping back, it's just completely stunting his growth and maturity as an NBA player. The team should be built around Rose, and adding a ball dominator like Wade (and I guess LeBron, but I think they could make it work with LeBron if they added a shooter) would just not work.

I'm curious as to why you think he's a big time offensive liability.
