well yea, outlaw is garbage, but the Nets plan on starting Damion James when he's fully back from his injury, which I'm pumped for.

Not a bad idea, Outlaw would be better off the bench. He was damn good as the 6th man in Portland. I've always liked James too.

It's an expiring contract. Probably our last tradeable asset at this point for a long while.

A 3.5 million dollar expiring contract? That isn't worth anything. I would say Landry Fields is by far the most tradeable on the Knicks.

It is when its covered by insurance cause he hasn't played all season. Therefore the team who trades for him would be saving $.

Forgot about Fields value. I can't see us trading him though. He's a developing player with a cheap price tag. He's those blue collar types that every team needs.
Yeah I guess that expiring contract isn't worth poo.

I assume another move is on the horizon. JJ didn't really have playing time with the Bulls and didn't show all that much BB IQ. Good luck in Toronto JJ you could have been DeJuan Blair.

With Kleiza out for the year James Johnson should be able to get some playing time down the stretch for us to see what he is made of

Like I posted on the last page, I think the Bulls should make a trade for Marcus Thornton. Hornets are asking for a 1st rounder and if the Bulls make that trade they'll have a young SG that's a scary good shooter and he would be an RFA at the end of the year so the Bulls could match any offer made to him.

The Bulls actually received a 1st Rounder for Johnson (Miami's pick).
I really, really, really want Aaron Afflalo though, or Marcus Thornton would be okay too.
Reports out there say that we're looking at Courtney Lee. He'd bring some athleticism and scoring to the 2 spot, but he's not the big time perimeter threat most think we need. I just want a guy to take the pressure off Rose and space the floor. Lee might be able to do that.

Yea, JJ has all kinds of athleticism and potential as a wing, but he really has not shown to have any sort of brain. I kept wanting the Bulls to give him more chances, but 5/10 times he would do something dumb, another 4 times he would spaz out or be out of control, and 1 time he'd be effective. Oh well, I wish him luck.
But if this move is to make another, I wouldn't mind Lee if we just give up a pick + parts. As long as it's not Asik or Taj. But I kinda really like the idea of Thornton, especially seeing him the other night vs. us. I would def give up one of our 1sts for him.

Courtney Lee could do that and I'm sure Houston would love to receive another draft pick. Regardless, I expect the Bulls to make a move to acquire a SG before the trade deadline

I want C Lee back. The Rockets dont really have any bad contracts to unload with him however, so we wouldnt make a play.
I have no idea what we plan to do at the starting 2 next season. I dont know if they'll ever really give JJ that starting opportunity.

Starting SGs usually can't succeed if they have broken ankles for the whole season

har har.
Redick's defense is much improved...getting your ankle broken by Hinrich is embarrassing, but it actually hasn't happened all that frequently. He normally does a good job of staying in front of his man. He's a pretty decent defender now, he does the best he can with his athletic limitations. haha.
I dont really care if he ever becomes a starter...I just dont love our SG situation for next season. J Rich is really the only guy we lose...but it's a big loss.
