If Randolph would fit in perfectly anywhere it's Orlando. Dwight would cover him defensively and Randolph has enough of an outside game that he wouldn't clog up the lane for Dwight. And every rebound would be theirs.

Only problem with Randolph again is the touches he requires. Randolph isn't a big hustler so when Howard is getting his post touches Randolph is useless. Then the whole problem with other guys not getting touches. Definitely worth the chance although I'd rather keep Richardson and Bass.

The Hornets and Kings have agreed to a deal that will send SG Marcus Thornton and backup C David Anderson to Sacramento in exchange for PF Carl Landry

I really don't understand that deal for the Hornets. Value wise it's alright, need wise it makes no sense.

I love me some Carl Landry. Solid deal for the Hornets, even if it doesn't make too much sense

The Hornets already have a pretty good power forward, so.....

I am guessing its cause the Hornets feel they are going to lose David West so they wanted a PF incase they actually do

Well West is a FA at the end of the year, but so is Landry. Just based on the players I like it for the Hornets

I hate the ******* trade. The problem with the Hornets this year wasn't defense, which is what Landry provides. We struggled offensively and just traded away a fan favorite and our only legitimate scoring threat that can come in from the bench. Marco Bellineli has been in a slump, Willie Green isn't an explosive shooter and Jarret Jack isn't a scorer.
I like Landry a lot but I don't like this trade one bit

Its a great deal for the Kings it gives them a really good young core to develop
PG Evans
SG Thornton
SF Casspi/Greene
PF Thompson
C Cousins/ Dalembert
Kinda pissed cause I wanted the Knicks to take a look at getting Thompson but now with Landry out of his way he is going to get more PT.

Thortorn is pretty much the perfect 2 if you're going to have Tyreke running point. Great trade for the Kings.

You sure they have interest in moving Evans back to PG? He really should stick at the 2, imo.
That said, I really doubt Thornton re-signs if he's coming in off the bench.

Can anyone that has watched more than one Hornets game tell me more about Thornton?

Dynamic scorer, solid ball handling, can act as PG in a pinch, defensive liability but puts forth an effort, undersized for the 2 guard but not terribly undersized, came in off the bench of the Hornets and acted as a 6th man. Anytime he would come in the Hornets would go on scoring run.

He's one of those really high highs, really low lows kind of guys. He's a streaky pure shooter. If he's starting, he's def. capable of being a 20+ per, kind of guy, imo. He's nothing special defensively, even lacking effort a lot of the time. He's pretty much all offense. But he's instant offense...and can be extremely dangerous.

Yup, pretty similar.
If you're not that familiar...you should check out his game log from last year when he was starting for a while and playing more. He was something to behold. Had a lot of big games.

JR Smith is my favorite knucklehead in the league. He went 6/10 from downtown tonight. Then he'll follow that up with a 1/8 performance. lol

Landry and West are both above average PFs... capable starters, but not stars. I remember watching Thornton in the tourney and he is capable of being a 15-20 point guy but just doesn't do that all the time.
New Orleans I think wins this deal, yet like somebody else said they didn't address a need. Itd be nice to keep both, but would Carl be alright coming off the bench?
I know Memphis is always a toss up but Denver played good ball tonight lol Ty put up 21?!
