edit...That said, SVG is a Ryan Anderson fan. He was probably just trying to light a fire under him or play the better defensive matchup. I could certainly be reading into it a little much.

He sucks on defense, but that doesn't stop SVG from giving Arenas minutes every night (or you know, every other skill Arenas doesn't have). Plus, the difference with Ryan Anderson on the court and off this year is pretty damn ridiculous.

I had a late edit, it's certainly not a set in stone move. But yeah, I dont even like the guy. He's an annoying chucker. He shoots every time he touches the ball and he's insanely late on defensive rotations.

Agree with the first part.

Second part, can't see it. Maybe if they played right now, but by the end of the year they will be better, I have already said I like how Denver is playing and will probably make the playoffs. Too much star power for Denver to handle.

I was being facetious. Although I do think that not playing with any superstars will let Gallo break out and become a star himself since he's had so many times where his deference to his team-mates has hurt his own stats, prestige and hype.

He's never going to be a star. He'll be a great addition to a team that already has a star, but he'll never be THE guy.

Denver is going to be very good in a couple of years if they play their cards right. Gallo will develop, Mozgov will develop, and they have a slew of draft picks to get a star player with.

I said it but their package was close to being enough to get a guard like Raymond Felton. With that said Hinrich probably will work his way into the starting lineup. He does push the ball better than Bibby and at least tries defense. He's a decent 3 point shooter, not as good as bibby, but he's decent pulling up from mid range. Still though Wizards hosed the Hawks with that deal. Got 3 first rounders and 2 expirings just for having Hinrich on their roster for half a season.

Yea the Wiz really raped the hawks on that one. Hinrich should start down the road, but the Hawks really do like Jeff Teague. With Teague starting last night, they completely blew out the Warriors and a good part of that was his defense.

He held Stephon Curry to 7 point, and the game before he held Steve Nash to 0 points until he went out in the 3rd quarter.

He never had to become THE guy if we had managed to hold onto him, so whether he can or can not is irrelevant.

That said...I do think he could be THE guy on a quality playoff team, not a champion contender but if his 3ball gets back to where it was, he gets more chance to create for his team-mates, which is one thing that bugged me about Mike D...in his book he talks about how the beauty of the SSOL is that there are ideally multiple guys who can run the PnR with the one central finisher or with one of the other wings on the receiving end of it...and yet that's something we never got the chance to do with Gallo, even when Felton was playing terrible or off the court all together. If Gallo get those two things up to the level he's already shown he can do in the NBA and add a midrange game that he had shown in Italy although that's something we almost never see from him in the NBA although he has hit that left elbow jumper as smoothly as Dirk a couple of times.

But again whether or not he ever reaches that level isn't important since that's not what I'm arguing we needed from him. What we need from him was exactly what hurt us against Cleveland, we lacked a role player who could step up when Melo/Amar'e weren't coming through, and if Dolan hadn't gotten his dumb nose into it we could've kept Gallo and brought in Melo, although as I explained in our forum I'd have rather seen us make a move for Deron than Melo since I think Deron is a better player who would've been a better fit on this team and wouldn't have come at such high of a price. Plus it would've left Denver **** out of luck and being a kinda bitter person that would've made me happy.

What are you talking about? Billups was that "role player" who stepped up when Melo and Stat were off.

We just need a Center and a backup PG, like we did before. We won't miss Gallo at all.

You seriously gotta let it go.

The Knicks are absolutely a better team in the long term with Melo. This year? Debatable. After this year? I don't see how we won't be better.
Two max players that'll take up $40 million of likely around a $55 million cap. Obviously you're more talented with STAT and Carmelo, but you're going to lack some serious depth if you lose out on re-signing Chauncey.

I am in agreement with BBD. Now that I say this his Knicks are prolly gonna beat my Heat tomorrow. But yeah man, remember the first 17 games the Heat were 9-8. 9-8 with the two hall of famers and ugly ass mother ******. Its cuz they didn't know how to play with each other. They only knew how to masterbade. It takes time. The Knicks will be fine. Fine enough to the point where I want to make sure the Heat finish 1 or 2 to stay clear of them and get a crap sub-500 team that has no chance of beating us. Cuz by playoff time, the Knicks will be a tough out.

You seriously gotta let it go.
It honestly boggles my mind.

Haha, I doubt it. We're really not that great yet, and we lack any depth right now which is killing us.

You know what's a funny argument I see brought up over this Melo ordeal? The people who wanted Melo to come to the Knicks are the same people saying this is what he wanted and he's actually stepping up to the challenge unlike LeBron. Yet, these are the same people who said Melo wouldn't leave the extra 20 million on the table.

So the guy wants to be a Knick and relishes the opportunity and at the same time he didn't care about us enough to sign with us as a free agent?

cough, contradictory.

Well the Knicks do scare me a Heat fan. Cuz I know u talk about a lack of depth for the Knicks. Well the Heat have the same problem, and the Knicks have someone in the post that isn't a *****. I mean Bosh and Dampier. They are the starting 4 and 5 on the starting 5 of the Shaq all ***** team.
