So, this is the regular season and it means very little. I fully expect the Heat to go all beast mode for at least a series or two in the playoffs.
For a change of pace, I loathe Jeff Van Gundy and never want to miss an opportunity to laugh at him. No wonder you never won anything you annoying little POS..
Quote:
"They will break the single-season win record [of 72],'' Jeff Van Gundy said. "And I think they have a legit shot at the Lakers' 33-game [winning] streak [in 1971-72], as well. And only the Lakers have even a remote shot at beating them in a playoff series. They will never lose two games in a row this year.
"They have put together a much better roster than anybody could ever have expected,'' Van Gundy added. "There is now no good way to defend them. They are unguardable. They are indefensible. They are just too good and have added so much shooting and are so versatile that they will score at will.
"And with Erik Spoelstra coaching, they will be in the top three defensive teams in the league, as well. The other 29 teams better hope the lockout gets moved up a year.''

Yeah, I kinda want whatever Van Gundy was on at that time. Or whatever Skip Bayless does. The drug that says let me say stupid **** and have ESPN give me tons of money to say that.

Because crazily enough, 63 games together isn't quite enough to duplicate the comfort and chemistry of playing multiple seasons together. Funny how most people who became Cavs fans because of LeBron now despise him as their team is about to finish 16-66.

Who cares how the Cavs are going to do? Last time I checked fans of bad teams were allowed to make fun of less bad teams. And chemistry shouldn't matter. This is the greatest team of all time, breh, and the Cavs were the worst of all time. Plus, El trio grande had the Olympics to mesh, breh.

Miami's had some pretty bad breaks when it comes to TEH PACKERZ INJURIEZ this year, too. It's a mediocre enough bench as is. TEH INJURIEZ don't help matters.

**** that. One of the big three getting injured would be a bad injury. Losing 4th and 5th guys like Haslem and Miller isn't close to big enough to make a deal about.

Well Cleveland will have the last laugh when they suck for 3 more years and are led to the 2014-15 NBA championship by #1 overall pick Tim Hardaway Jr. all before Miami wins one.

What did Hardaway Jr. ever do to you? Why would you wish something that hurtful on him? HE WILL NOT DECLARE, DAMN IT! IF HE DOES, YOU BETTER PRAY THAT HE DOESN'T END UP IN THAT GARBAGE STATE!

Yeah, the Olympics the other 9 players were all stars. The other 9 players had 16 points today! 16. 11 of those were by Chamlmers. So our bench had 5 points. 5 POINTS! Mediocre is being nice.....

It's just not as bad as some of the injuries that other teams have had to deal with(such as the Bulls). Every team has to deal with injuries, if Bosh Wade or LeBron were to miss extended periods of time then I can understand using it as an excuse. The reason the teams isn't deep is because while those three guys may have taken pay cuts they still take up a ridiculous amount of the salary cap not allowing them to get more guys.

Yeah really thats what the Heat are doing. We want them in round 1! The Championship of Disappointment. Who gets the trophy the winner of that series or the loser?

Last I checked, teams do use five players at a time, but they don't play all 48 minutes every night. Yes, the injuries to depth hurt.

Irrelevant argument is irrelevant. As you pointed out, the Heat only need three players on the court at all times (James/Wade/Bosh) and getting other players serves no purpose. The Heat can thus give all of their money to those three, since no teams need bench players and role players.

But I digress...
It actually is pretty hysterical how awful the Heat bench is, and how the media/fans said it wouldn't matter they just need role players that can spot up shoot and BS like that. And how the big 3 would be enough.
Like I said I expect the Heat to at least go beast mode round 1 maybe 2. But it will be real interesting to see how they hold up with the big 3 averaging 40 mins a game for 5, 6, 7 game series one after the other, especially since they apparently have the mental toughness of a 10 year old.

That isn't what I am saying it all. Sure the injuries have hurt the Heat, but to call them massive injuries and use them as an excuse is ********. Every team deals with ******* injuries, and losing Mike Miller and Haslem doesn't count as massive injuriezzz that classification is reserved for the better players. Guys like Carlos Boozer, Joakim Noah or better players are significantly bigger injuries

True but the teams are different, when Booz was out, Chicago was fortunate to have a future starter in Gibson, Haslem.. a true back up. They didn't have a real good back up center for Noah but they are a deeper team so it effects teams differently.
