you calling that Heat injuries packers injuries

therefore you called the Heat injuries massive injuries.

Ummm excuse me? Kurt Thomas says hello!

Also, you dare insult the Turkish Delight saying he's not a good backup? He will come find you in the night and then flop when you come near him!

Yea, I don't know how we managed with those 2 holding down the middle. Especially old man river.

Haha I know, I kinda disrespected Thomas he always been a good glue guy.

Taj is money though. Turkish Delight is a sexy nickname for Asik but I just haven't seen enough of him offensively.. but hey it is the Bulls without Rose they would be putting up 80 baby!

Taj is going to be a solid starter for someone in the next couple years, not sure it will be the Bulls with the Boozer on salary. But what's great is how much his defense has improved this year, he's been awesome.

And Asik is awful on offense in terms of scoring. I think he's still adjusting to the NBA game. He seems to have a good basketball IQ, and is decent enough in the post to be able to post up and hold on to make the right pass. That is, the 50% of the time he actually catches the ball. But his defense and rebounding are already sexy.

I'm so happy we didn't trade either for Courtney Lee or ******* Anthony Parker.

With each passing game, J.Green (and Kristic) but J.Green is getting more and more comfortable in the lineup.
Plays alot of 3 and then is able to slide up to the 4... this starting lineup is so versatile, it's beautiful.
Now as long as as the injuries calm the **** down (Wafer, West, Shaq, JO, Big Baby) then I think the Celts can make a deep playoff run

The Celtics finished 27-27 in their last 54 games last year and the Lakers were 18-16 I believe.

The main thing is that even though they are not executing and not closing teams out. They've had these elite teams beat, dead to rights, they just couldn't hold on. Other than the San Antonio game they haven't been blown out by any of these elite teams. It isn't as if they are far off.

I hate to say this, but when you have 3 guys who are all taking around 20 shots per game (as a minimum), you're not going to get much from other players.

You're talking about the 2 leader in the league in ppg last season teamed up with the 4th league leader in ppg last season teamed up with a pf that went 24+11 last season...

You would just need 2 joe schmoes who don't **** things up and stay in front of their opponents and the heat should be the top if not one of the top teams in the league...

they're not...

Whew... you do understand you need some REALLY UNIQUE people in the #4-5 slots and lower for THAT concept to ever work, right? You're talking Bill Russell-wired mentality, or at least James Posey. How many people in the NBA are going to take that kind of role in any capacity other than negative?

Dwyane Wade is getting a pass on criticism because he won a ring 5 years ago. I bet he wouldn't have won a ring had be been in Cleveland. On the other hand, LeBron might have a ring had he had Pay Riley and Shaq helping him.

It's hard to totally blame a guy for being an egomaniac when he's been a household name since he was a sophomore in high school.

Miami has a beast of a schedule still in front of them: Blazers, Lakers, Thunder, Grizzlies, Spurs. They may be the 4th seed when all is said and done. They can send a strong message though if they man up.

I don't know what to take from last night's game. It was a strong game, good defense and we beat them up pretty good in the 2nd half, but I want to see more consistency.

That's what we're lacking right now. Bringing it every game. I'm hoping it's just growing pains. We need to mesh as much as we can in the next however many games before the playoffs.

The East is wide open. I still feel that the only teams that scare me are Boston and Miami.

Although I may have underestimated Chicago a little bit. They have such an underrated coach.

For what it's worth:

Before the trade:

104.5 points for/104.3 points against.

After the trade:

105.4 points for/101.5 points against.

So we improved our offense while improving our defense so far. And that's while growing through some serious growing pains. And not having Billups for 2 games now.

So I'm hopeful. I think that's a promising sign.

Definitely. But any time I've heard him talk or read interviews with him I think he comes off as a pompous ass. I always hated him living in Columbus and being surrounded by Cleveland fans. Just seemed like he was always getting shoved down our throats.

I love seeing he and the Heat struggle. He thought he was going to go to Miami and have a team of superstars get easy titles. How many championships did he promise again? Seven I think it was.

Count me in the group of people that root for the Heat to lose. It sucks when you are one of the few Raptors fans you know in a Canadian city. These guys all started jumping on the Heat bandwagon and putting this team on a pedastal as soon as LeBron signed, and it was just annoying. It's funny seeing them all slowly change their profile pictures from the Heat team as they continue to lose. Damn bandwagon riders.

You would just need 2 joe schmoes who don't **** things up and stay in front of their opponents and the heat should be the top if not one of the top teams in the league...

they're not...
But the first two guys happen to have the exactly same game, and don't compliment each other. So when one drives the lane, draws defenders, and kicks it to the other, that one is just going to try to drive into said lane, where all defenders already happen to be.

The 3rd guy is an incredibly soft big man who doesn't have much of a post game himself, and just wants to beat guys off the dribble as well. As a power forward. And looks somewhat like a velociraptor.

Recipe for success?
