Great game by Harden. This is a fun series.

I agree, he already strikes me as a guy who wants to steal the spotlight from KD sometimes.

But Thibs does do that. It's why Gibson always plays over Boozer in the 4th. Asik would have played for the whole quarter had his chin not been cut up. Korver is the best 3-point shooter on the team, and you just can't leave him on the bench cause he played bad in past games. And it's really a different situation from the Thunder, since Rose is much better than Westbrook, and isn't a liability to the team.
And I don't want everybody to think Brooks is a genius now. Why didn't he make any adjustments on Dirk in game 1? It's not like he was going to change his whole repertoire for 1 game.

Does a trade like this work for the Timberwolves? I know we got some fans here for them.
Michael Beasley for Jameer Nelson?
Makes it easier for them to draft Derrick Williams at #2. ...and even if Rubio comes over, at least Nelson would cushion his transition. Those are 2 things that come to mind. Not sure if others would agree or have other thoughts.

You don't want players that are ok with being benched in the 4th. Good coaching move and the correct reaction by Westbrook, you want him to be pissed off that the team didn't have faith in him. You don't want guys who don't want to be in there to win the game.
The only way that it is a negative is if you deal with it wrong, you have established an earn your position system now in the 4th and need to stick with it and handle it right. Westbrook has handled his side excellently, imo.
I'm not a big fan of him either for what it is worth :)
Harden's beard is awesome.

The Bulls are better with Boozer on the bench. I know it's a tough one to swallow, but they seriously need to go with their bench more. At least they can defend better without him.
He brings nothing offensively and is a liability on defense. If Chicago is winning this series, they have to do it with defense and Derrick Rose on offense anyway. Might as well put your best defense out there and amplify your strength.

So with Jerry West going to Golden State, can we already connect the dots and say Stephen Curry is going to the Lakers for Luke Walton? :D

I personally think Westbrook is overrated. I'd wait and see if CP3 is healed up, and throw a Westbrook for CP3 trade out there next year and see if they blink.
Westy is nice, but he's not really a PG. They can be a dynasty in the coming years if they get a true PG and a SG who can consistently put down 3s.

Westbrook is more of a SG. They needed Maynor last night. His patience really won them the game. He let the game come to him and react. Even though Westbrook was shooting it pretty well he was still forcing everything and trying to make it a track meet. He has no sense of pace at all. Westbrook needs to be somewhere like Golden State or New York.

I tweeted about this last night during the game and I had a lengthy discussion with a couple of basketball buddies today too, that I feel James Harden is more important to the Thunder's success moving forward, not just this post-season but years beyond, than Russell Westbrook.

There seems to be frustration that Westbrook steals scoring opportunities away from Durant and that is one of the reasons why he didn't get to play. In addition to the mention that Mayor was running the floor better and keeping everyone together.

How embarassing is this? The Mavs don't even need Dirk right now. Showing up like this at home is an embarassment.

Well if this 4th quarter is any indication, Brooks looks like a genius who lit a fire under Westbrook.
