O ok. That makes more sense. Kind of a ***** move if you ask me but I can see where he's coming from. He's really not getting any younger and wants to win.

I was spoiled with C Lee starting so much as a rookie and performing. I just want to throw Justin Harper to the wolves.

Kings forum's are saying we are close to signing a SF, most likely AK47 who is currently under contract in a Russian league. An offer has been made to the mystery F/A, so we will see if any news breaks about a signing sometime today.

Stern can veto any trade he wants, every trade has to be approved by the league office regardless of who owns the team.

Sorry Chauncey your time is no longer.
Still a solid player nowhere near were he probably thinks he is.
Edit: Didn't Billups get amnestied..amnestized??? So he really can just pick where he wants to go can't he?
|
He'd have to clear waivers before he's free to choose.
edit: sorry, didn't see that was already answered.

So, yeah, the Celtics...
Yeah. The Celtics. :(
Why does Ainge keep trying to trade Rondo? Hey, we've got an old ass team that's falling apart, let's trade the one young guy whose contract is a good deal for us...
They had a chance to fix the team before it was too late last off-season and completely blew it. Then they traded Perk. I'm done with this season already.

Now appears Lakers will keep Devin Ebanks, and that additional young talent to New Orleans will be coming from the Rockets, sources confirm.

I'd really like that signing for Sacto if they got AK-47. Can still be effective on offense and would add some tenacity to their defense

He is nice fit in our lineup at SF, especially when you look at the offensive talent at all the other positions. AK47 would need to focus on reboudning and defense which are the 2 area's he excels in. He also makes up for our lack our size at the Guard positions since he has the size of some PF's....
PG Evans/Fredette
SG Thornton/Garcia
SF AK47/Salmons
PF Hickson/Hayes
C Cousins/Thompson

Per Woj: Lakers had been searching for deal in past day to obtain a first-round pick to send New Orleans as part of Chris Paul package, sources say.

The league should just tell them that they want Bynum included in the deal.

I don't want to see this happen, however I would chuckle if old Dave is letting them reopen negotiations for Paul just to dangle a carrot and deny it again.

Well if he tells us we cant have CP3, we will just go and get D12, and then sign Paul in FA so...

Very nice deal for a player of his caliber. This imo was a big key for the Magic. Whether Dwight stays or goes, JRich is very keepable or moveable with this contract.

Yeah it was a dick move, they claim it was to help the Hornets but losing Paul next offseason for nothing is just ********.

Its stupid because they put someone in charge to avoid conflict of interest and then they just overrun all of that and end up in a conflict of interest anyways.

Stern needs to finally lose his job over this, its a PR nightmare. If he let's Paul go any where else it would appear as the league is dictating where players go which is an abomination and gross misuse of power. Who is going to offer a better deal than what was on the table? A couple of players that are right below superstar status and draft picks? Who is even in position to offer a better deal?

He's been underwhelming here. Started off hot, but went south. I've always liked him, but he's another regressing piece. I was hoping we would let him walk, really. He hasnt been the greatest of fits here and his perimeter defense left a lot to be desired.
And damn was he useless in the post season.
I'm just so ready for a rebuild it's not even funny. Like you said, at least he may be an attractive piece at the deadline, if we lose Dwight.
edit...we're in such a weird spot right now. On the surface we're adding pieces to make another "run". But Dwight wants out, so this may all be for not.

Can you imagine the defensive lineup with that team?
PG: Evans
SG: Salmons
SF: Greene (was a very good stopper last two years)
PF: AK47
C: Hayes
According to advanced stats, Hayes one of the top defenders at CENTER last couple years. Salmons is a good defender at SG, Donte Greene is actually been very good on D and of course AK47.
