I'd be pretty excited for the Kings if that was their line-up. They'd be exciting to watch, at least.
Also, if Otis can't hold onto D12, which it looks like he won't, then how foolish does he look for blowing up the team that brought them to the Finals?

Apparently shopping him to teams not on his requested list including the Bulls
Gibson + Noah + everything else the magic might want besides Rose
then amnesty Boozer and sign a starter quality PF and SG

Looks like the CP3 trade could be canned.
Marc Stein: CP3 Trade Latest - Sources say Lakers have pulled out three-team trade for Chris Paul. Sources say Lakers will instead trade Lamar Odom to Dallas into Mavericks' new trade exception
So, Dallas gets Odom for a trade exception which the Lakers can use to take on Hedo's contract and ship Pau and Bynum to Orlando for D12.

The Lakers get a TE equal to Odom's salary.

Lakers use the trade exception to take on Turkoglu's contract and then ship Gasol and Bynum to Orlando for D12.

It is certainly possible if Otis Smith is stupid enough to do that trade without any extras coming his way.

What a ******* joke. The NBA is steadily losing any semblance of what was once a great sport. How long before it goes the way of Boxing?

So...Paul won't be a Laker anymore?
Damnit, I wanted him. Granted, I prefer Dwight, but **** this whole ordeal.
Hopefully we can still get him or Deron next year.

Blame Mark Cuban:
Per Chris Mannix of SI: Cuban blocks the CP3 trade, then uses it to get Lamar Odom, which allows the Lakers to get Dwight Howard after the Mavs traded their center

A tight end is a player who typically lines up on the end of the o-line. He's eligible to catch passes and will often run short routes when not blocking. In the modern NFL, they are being used more and more as giant WRs.

In this scenario the Mavs got a large Trade Exception from the S&T of Tyson Chandler to the Knicks.
The Mavs are using 8,9000 of it to take on Lamar Odom's contract and in return are giving the Lakers 8.9000 exception for them to use.
Think of it like credit if it helps. You can use it to like Diab suggested to take on Turk's contract if you end up making a deal for D12. Instead of having to adding more contracts to make the money even in a trade.

Well that makes sense. If we do get D12 then it won't be so bad.

Now it's being reported that the Celtics are going to try to enter back into the CP3 sweepstakes with a deal centered around Rondo likely having to get a 3rd team involved.

Having Turkoglu/Artest, Walton, and Howard seems much worse than having Artest/Odom, Gasol, Bynum. But what do I know...

How many times do they have to be told that they don't want Rondo and that Paul does not want Boston?
Also didn't they just give a good amount of space to David West?
