It's not that awful. I'd be interested in watching that team. They should really think about trading Paul George, who they were playing out of position.
edit...turns out this could have been a trade Orlando could have pulled off.

man might as well call the Grizzlies the Memphis Jayhawks.they are loaded with KU guys

I'm starting to think that Billups pick up was for the Clips to prepare for a trade to get CP3 that includes Gordon. Now that they've added CB they can trade Gordon w/ Kaman, Aminu, Bledsoe, and Minny's 1st.
Clips would move Billups to the 2, let CP3 run the point which should turn out better than expected.

I never once mentioned trading Billups. I said that the Clippers could play Billups at the 2 (shooting guard) w/ CP3 running the point.
Clippers line-up of:
PG - CP3
SG - Billups
SF - Butler
PF - Griffin
C - Jordan
Bench:
Randy Foye
Ryan Gomes
Trey Thompkins
Plus they still have the whole MLE to use

With Billups in tow, they should have the leverage to refuse to include Gordon. They have absolutely no reason to at this point.

I wish CP3 would just go to LA or Boston and get this trade talk over with. D12 should ask for Orlando to trade all out for another good player, similarly to the Knicks last year when they picked up Melo.
Landing a player like Andre Igudola, Kevin Martin or Monte Ellis who can score from the 2/3 to go with D12 25&12 could be a good start to getting talent on the Magic. Hopefully they get get rid of Hedo's contract and get some cap so they can make moves in F/A and maybe get a PG or PF.
Monte Ellis
Jason Richarson
Hedo?
Glenn Davis
Dwight Howard

You hit it. Clippers are backing out of talks again. It's back to off.

Orlando has nothing to trade for a "good player" at all. That's a big part of the problem in the first place.

Lose out on Tyson Chandler and Deandre Jordan. Settle for Kwame Brown. Some things never change. I could have dealt with him for $2-$3 million a year but $7 million. I don't know what Reilly/Meyers/Lacob are thinking.

Kwame last year better rebounding rate than D.Lee, both Gasol's, L.Aldridge, Scola, B. Lopez, Nene, etc. Bit surprising

Well that's good to know.......I guess.

Who was Golden State bidding against for Kwame?
Are they gonna amnesty Biedrins? I don't think it's legal for one team to have three offensive masterminds in the same frontcourt like the Warriors would with Ekpe Udoh, Andris Biedrins, and Kwame Brown. They should have to forfeit their 1st Round pick to keep the league balanced.

There are only four teams that Howard would sign a long-term contract with, according to a source close to the situation -- the Magic, New Jersey Nets, Dallas Mavericks or Los Angeles Lakers.

I don't know what the Mavs can offer outside of Dirk, but I can hope right? We do need a center and can't possibly rely on Haywood to start the season.

Warriors already used the amnesty on Charlie Bell so they could free up money for DeAndre Jordan's offer sheet. Only team GS was really bidding against was the Bobcats. The only silver lining is that we basically have a $7 million expiring contract heading into March. Only problem is our front office bragged about having $19 million in expiring contracts last season and couldn't get anything done at the trade deadline.

I don't know. I really think Paul George could be a very good all-around player. I wouldn't trade him, not at this point anyway.
Is Collison a better PG then George Hill?

So that Mayo/McRoberts trade is dead... again. This is the most difficult minor trade ever.

There has been like 23401092 confirmed trades that have been later reversed. This whole off-season has been a ******* stupid waste. They completely ruined any salvageable shred of integrity the league had left. This will be the most meaningless NBA season ever.

I never looked at it from that angle. A $7M expiring contract could get them a nice prize via trade.
Jerry West is in charge in Golden State guys.... He'll trade Kwame to the Lakers for Luke Walton or Ron Artest, so they can clear cap this summer and land a big fish.
