Odom, Vince Carter is around Jason Kidd who is pretty much the only one who motivates him these days, a healthy Boob-wah, and Delonte West is a pretty solid turnover from the overpaid as all hell now Tyson Chandler and JJ Barea.
Frenchi should be taking Barea's minutes from now on and he's shown he can be a really good player before. Yeah Chandler hurts us, but that doesn't make us not contenders because we lost him. Dirk is our best player and he's still on the team. Adding Odom gives us a really good front core and Rick can use that to an advantage. Mahinmi will get more playing time we'll see how he does, but he was serviceable when he stepped in the playoffs we'll see how he does.
The clippers love needs to relax. I really can't see this team being any better than a 4 seed in the west. Griffin was a monster in the paint last year but i think teams will figure out a way to defend him and prevent the big dunks, not to mention a sophomore slump is a big possibility. It will take a while for them to gel. Has Chauncey played the 2 spot before?
Sam Bradford will be a bust- 2/24/2010
I wouldn't be sir prized if he passed McCoy on the depth chart. I think he might have a better arm and accurate arm then him from the highlights I thought. He also got some wheels too help us prepare for QB's as Wilson , RG3 and other runners etc.
I've had a little time to think about the entire Hornets debacle, specifically how it pertains to Dell Demps.
What I'd really like to see is Demps take action in a rather unprofessional way. I'd like to see him flat out resign his position as GM and spend the entire resignation speech burning bridges and naming names and basically doing everything in his power to utterly murder what's left of the NBA's- and subsequently Stern's- reputation.
I'd like to see this for a few reasons.
One; this entire mess of a situation is stamped on his name for the rest of his career and beyond it. He engineered a deal, only to be backstabbed by his 'boss' and smeared all over the press like he was an incompetent, and nothing he can do will change that. Staying silent and playing the 'Good Little Boy' won't salvage his reputation.
And Two; Knowing the above means that Demps has two options. He can stay bent over- the Front Office Equivalent of playing 'Uncle Tom'- and be forever known as the 'Beard' of Hornets Management.
Or he can salvage his own dignity and fight back, knowing full well he'll never work in the NBA again. If this requires absolutely roasting everybody involved in the debacle with inappropriate language, then so be it. It might actually make the message more effective, in fact.
Like you wouldn't get a large rise of the sort of foul vernacular that could be used to describe Stern and his cronies in the heat of a press conference, on live television to boot.
