lol when you put it into perspective like this, it sounds so terrible/hilarious.

Minnesota paid $19 million for four years for J.J. Barea,1 making him the third free agent point guard in three years that they've signed for at least $16 million2 (even though they spent three first-round picks on point guards over that same timeframe3) and giving them three point guards for the 2011-12 season.4 I don't know what to tell you.

Team A: Ships out
David West
Javale McGee
Michael Beasley
Team B: Ships out
Andre Iggy
Chris Anderson
Jeff Green
Do you do that trade if you're team A?

Barea isn't going to run the point offensively. They think he can play the 2 offensively and guard the point guard defensively.

Exactly. Barea isn't even a PG, he's a midget SG and Luke Ridnour is pathetic anyway.
People are just preemptively hating on the move because the Wolves made it. Barea was one of the main reasons the Mavs won the title last year.

Which teams have worse rosters than the Pistons? All I can really think of are Charlotte and probably Toronto.

The Cavs still look pretty hopeless even with Irving.

No. Jeff Green isn't even gonna play this season.

So you're gonna have not one, but two mismatches defensively..

You're right, it's extra funny cause it's the Wolves, but that doesn't make it any less of a bad move. The team didn't really need him, and i'm gonna venture out and guess he loses effectiveness when playing against starters and for 22+ minutes.

We had no guards whatsoever. Wes Johnson was playing out of position at the 2 last year and Wayne ******* Ellington gets regular minutes. And who says he's going to play 22+ minutes or start?

So guard play will be taken care of by a platoon of Rubio, Wes Johnson and JJ Barea. Two miniature guys that will get eaten up defensively and that don't have a jumpshot, and a small forward playing out of position. That doesn't bode well at all.

Maybe Adelman actually plays Wes Johnson at SF and plays Rubio at the 1 and Barea at the 2. Not ideal but it beats the hell out of playing Johnson at the 2

There wasn't a whole lot of guards out there, and we needed help bad. It's not the perfect move, I actually said a few pages ago that I would rather have signed a more defensive oriented SG but there really wasn't anyone like that out there other than Afflalo, who will probably end up getting a lot more than Barea did. Barea is a legitimate offensive difference maker in short spurts and that's decent enough for 4 mill a year. I'm the first to hate on the terrible moves we make but this wasn't one of them.

Wes Johnson sucks. It doesn't matter where you play him.

But the T-Wolves love them their tweener forwards also! They already have Michael Beastly and Derrick Williams to play the 3 position. Although i can already imagine the high school defense team they could roll out if they went with:
PG: Ricky Rubio
SG: JJ Barea
SF: Michael Beasley
PF: Derrick Williams
C: Kevin Love
Oh man, i wanna see that. The Cavs could score 120 on that team.

He was a rookie last year. He was streaky but did look really good at times at a new position to him. Give him a chance.

Beasley needs to go on another one of his scoring high scoring streaks before the all star break so we can flip him to some stupid team that doesn't realize how useless he is in every other facet of the game.
