lol. I don't think i've ever seen anyone catch the ball in the low block and fade away jump shoot more than Carlos Boozer. In distant second is Chris Bosh.

Daequan Cook is starting and his only skill is that he can shoot threes kinda.

I'm convinced that he's only there for "veteran presence". If you read Bill Simmons, he is the Kings' chemist. He has absolutely no other redeeming qualities other than above average wing defense.

Why does any defender fall for Boozer's little sweeping fake like he's going to drive to the basket? About 90% of the time he will shoot a fade away, and the 10% he drives it's so slow and soft that you have time to recover and block his lay up.

I mentioned this just a few posts up. It's impressive how a "power forward" like him shoots that many fade aways.

I really don't know what's more impressive, the fact that he shoots so many fade aways or the fact that defenders never seem to know he's going to.
In the game vs. Boston on Sunday, one of the guys brought up a great point about Boozer's "help" defense. He will either not switch over and just turn to watch a guy drive, or he will switch over and slide out of the way to avoid contact and not even contest a shot. Couple this with the fact that he prefers fade away jumpers even from 5 feet away and when he does drive he always lays it in, and Boozer has to be one of the softest forwards in the game, if not the softest.
That said, while Rose has been out, he has stepped up his offensive production. If only he could play like this when everyone's healthy...

The shot selection on offense is definitely him being charmin soft. Not even euro bigs are that soft. He just has it in his head that he has a better percentage of making his baskets if he fades away than by taking it to the rim. That's also him being scared of getting blocked or bodied up. In other words, yeah, he's a huge vagina.
As far as his defense, that's just complete laziness. Not everyone is gonna be a grind it out, dirty work player, but the dude is just minimal effort on that side of the floor.
On a different note, Cousins with 9pts/8rebounds in one quarter. I smell a 20/20 game coming on.

Also, I loathe John Lucas III.
Loathe.
Wait...waaait...was a lane violation really just called? I thought they got rid of that rule since it's never, ever enforced...

Asik was in the lane like a full second before the ball was in the air, that was obvious lol.
Also, smh Chuck. How could you possibly let Carlos Boozer get to the rim on back to back plays?
-_-

Lucas must be delighted that he's finally matched up against someone smaller than him.
Noah can't hang with Cousins. Take a seat, kid.

Oh I know, I just haven't seen one called in like 2 years and they happen on like every attempt.
Also, Cousins really likes to foul doesn't he?

Time for awesome Heat tweets!

Indiana has lost 10 games this year. 9 by a combined 72 points. The other soon-to-be-2 to Miami: Outscored by 67 with one quarter left.

By the way, if Miami wins tonight, Charlotte's tragic number for elimination from the Southeast race is 19.

Heat have only 4 points in first 4:29 of 3Q. Lead down to 27. "Terrible," say way-too-serious people.

The DeMarcus Cousins train could use more steam. Anyone whose username isn't Brodeur is invited on!
