Free Throws: MIA 23, BOS 21
Personal Fouls: MIA 21, BOS 19
First Half, yes 2 of the 3 Ts were bogus. I will give u that.
Second Half, it was just fine. And thats when we blem them out. We won cuz Garnett was the only one worth a damn on the Celtics tonight.

I think the heat are a vastly superior team.
But counting fouls at the end of a game is a crippled stat. It's the quality, timing, and impact of each foul. That's something that is hard to quantify and track, and it's subjective.
Counting techs is a better, but still incomplete measure.
NBA stars get the calls, regardless of team.

I really think Boston's problem is their bench, or lack thereof. you want to beat the Heat, you can't let your starters get worn down chasing Bron and Wade around. this showed to some degree in the numbers of Pierce and Allen

Please don't let the Spurs/Thunder let me down. I really couldn't stand to see Miami win it all.

Boston is the only team I really don't want to win the Championship this year. True story.

you know what's funny about people who complain about fouls (not this game, didn't see it, but in general):
you know what draws fouls? Attacking the basket and driving and beating your defender off the dribble. You know who's REALLY REALLY good at doing that? Lebron and Wade.

You mean the Heat shoot more FTs because they draw more fouls? Don't be stupid Scotty.

The Celtics don't have enough to keep up with LeBron and Wade. It's going to have to be the Spurs or OKC who beats them.
It feels like Miami's year though. Wade and LeBron needed a year to learn how to play together.

kinda, but I also feel like it was a matter of Dallas being able to slow the game down and make the Heat play in half court (which they have seemed to improve on this year), and a case of great coaching prevailing and Dirk being unstoppable.
I think Miami is going to run through Boston without much trouble and the finals is going to be fun as hell. I'm trying to catch as much as this WCF as much as possible because it's such an awesome matchup. Both teams will be a good matchup against the Heat too.

a lot of complaints were based on the technicals called on Boston, though. even if you want to justify the one given to Garnett and Rondo, there were two complete nonsense technicals. most would say three
this is not to say the Heat didn't deserve that win, they did. there were just a few incidents of awful officiating

Yeah the WCF is going to be some great basketball. I love seeing how fundamental the Spurs are. Durant vs Lebron would be so great too.

Fair enough, like I said, I didn't watch the game. I just REALLY don't like complaining about officiating unless it's something huge in the last minute of a game or something.

Agreed. Great coaching head to head with some pure talent. Such a good matchup now and in the finals (if the heat win).
(and that's not a shot at Brooks, but just saying Pop and the wily vets are winning against teams I feel are more talented than they, it's so impressive and fun to watch.)

Meh, San Antonio is looking way too damn good to say it feels like its Miami's year IMO.

Fair or not, it'd be detrimental to Lebron's career and legacy if Miami plays the Thunder and lose. People would start anointing Durant as the best in the league (whether he is or not) coupled with Durant's seemingly ability to come through late in games.
I think if the Spurs win, everyone will just accept they were the best team and best coached in the league this year.

Meh, LeBron's reputation was tarnished the day he signed with Miami.
He could have went anywhere else and his legacy would still be intact, but the second he formed the big 3, he gave his image and legacy the kiss of death.
Now unless he wins like 8 rings in Miami nobody is gonna respect him the way they probably should.

I'd take Miami to win a series over any team in the league. The way Lebron and Wade have been playing together lately I can't imagine picking against them.
Id love to see them play the Thunder. That would be a fun series for the fans.

they've played an injured Knicks team with no depth, a solid Pacers team with no great scoring options, and now a injury riddled Celtics team that has no depth either. Miami should be in the process of sweeping all three, but they've slipped up and lost 3 games. that's nothing to really gripe about, but if you're giving games to New York, Indiana, and (potentially) Boston, how do you expect to beat the Spurs?
