Trade that should happen:
Detroit Pistons receive:
Unwashed game worn Ira Newble jersey signed by Sean May with the sharpie Kelvin Cato borrowed from Milt Palacio.
Toronto Argonauts receive:
Austin Daye

OKC and Scottie Brooks have reached a basic agreement for him to stay the Thunder's coach for the next 4 years
http://www.cbssports.com/nba/blog/ey...on-4-year-deal
Anybody else think they need a coach other than Brooks?

Howard shared his feelings of being blackmailed by the Magic with the NBA players’ association last week, sources said. He, either himself or through his representatives, approached the union wondering if he might have a legal complaint against the club.
The goal of such a complaint would be to eliminate his “opt-in,” thereby allowing Howard to become a free agent this summer.
|

Sources said the union has no plans to pursue any such legal action against the Magic

I'm just glad the Pistons have a better version of Dwight Howard now.
It will be sad when he leaves us for Los Angeles eventually but it'll be fun until then.

Adrian Wojnarowski @WojYahooNBA
If the Nets don’t do a deal for Joe Johnson, they’re considering a significant offer for Memphis shooting guard O.J. Mayo, Y! sources said.
Ken Berger @KBergCBS
Nets-Rockets trade talks surrounding Luis Scola, reported by @WojYahooNBA, “put on hold” by both teams, source says. Still could be revived.

Why does everyone want OJ Mayo all of a sudden? They all had a chance to trade for him and the best offer Memphis got was Josh McRoberts.. but now teams are lining up to offer him a nice contract? I'm confused.

Joe Johnson might get traded? I want to believe the Hawks could trade Johnson without just taking on different bad contracts, but that seems too good to be true. What's the rumored package the Hawks would get in return?

So as a casual NBA fan, do the Nets have anything to trade for Howard? What would the post trade Nets even look like?

They don't have anything special to offer. Some solid players, but nothing Orlando should be excited about. I think the trade would end up being Brook Lopez (Sign & Trade), MarShon Brooks, and a couple 1st Round picks.. and the Nets would probably have to take Hedo Turkoglu too.
Post trade would maybe probably be:
PG - Deron Williams
SG - Anthony Morrow
SF - Hedo Turkoglu
PF - Dwight Howard
C - Johan Petro?
Who knows.

K.C Johnson @KCJHoop
Hearing Rockets prepared to offer Omer Asik in the $8 million range annually.
That's a lot of money for Asik.

Dang. Where does Jason Thompson rank in comparison to Asik in the national view?

That would make sense if they weren't going young and were keeping Kmart, Lowry, and Scola. They could still surprise us and keep Lowry, Kmart, and Scola and move their picks and other young assets for an Andre Iguodala or Rudy ***.

Well according the Ken Berger they want to keep Martin. I am sure their will be a new report that says the opposite in a couple of hours lol.
Ken Berger @KBergCBS
Rockets have had some talks about Kevin Martin, but are planning to keep him, league source says. Martin has $12.4M expiring contract.

I don't even know what's going on with the nets. And if we trade for Dwight, teletovic or ak47 would most likely be our starting 4
