not exactly. Nets can still make a move in December and if Lopez is tearing it up (which he may well be, at least offensively), things will look different. I think Orlando ultimately decided they'd rather see how Lopez plays before taking him and his max deal. plus they now have time for Dwight to rethink his stance which, if he does, gives them more options.

basically, Dwight is 99% going to be with the Magic through all of November. the right to trade Brook Lopez comes back around in December due to some CBA rules or something

If the Magic don't like their offer now, they won't like it in January.

yes. unless Dwight guarantees an extension, the only team I see being a serious player is Atlanta. nobody is giving up what the Magic are looking for for a half-year rental player.

actually... new CBA rules make it impossible for the Nets to trade Lopez this season without him giving the ok. Doubt that happens.

Lopez loves Orlando. he has a lifetime membership to Disney World and would embrace being on that team. I don't think he'd hold up a trade, even though he does want to be a Net. come December, he is at least available for trade.
