I live Big Al, but why would the Nets go out of their way to get an older and injury-probe version of what they already have?
They could sign and trade Humphries straight up foot Thomas.
because Al is a bigger body than Lopez and at least a better rebounder. I'd rather have someone that can really bully guys inside than Lopez who has a different offensive game than Jefferson. maybe I have them giving up too much, but I'd rather have Big Al than Lopez.
also, it would make no sense for Brooklyn to sign and trade Humphries for Thomas. the reason I included that was to get a Charlotte draft pick to Utah. in exchange for taking Thomas' awful contract for a unguaranteed Humphries contract, Charlotte helps Brooklyn get Jefferson

Say the Rockets do a trade with the Magic for Dwight. Could they still put a bid in for Elton Brand Like, just go all in on a bid to get him for one year?
Duhon
Jason Richardson
Parsons
Brand
Dwight
w/ Hedo, Douglas (maybe?), Livingston, Big Baby + whatever rookie(s) they have left off the bench?
That still would not be a top 6 team in the West. Also I will lulz so much if the Twolves truly do end up trading 2 firsts and a 2nd for Batum and give him that contract.

I don't see any trade, minus a 3rd team getting involved, that would push the Rockets into being a top 6 team in the West. Even still, though, they would have room next year, I think, to sign 2 max contract guys.
ESPN's Marc Stein tweeted that the Nets are ready to get into a bidding war with Charlotte for Humphries' services. Stein said the Bobcats are prepared to offer Humphries $22 million over three years, while the Nets are willing to offer $24 million over three years.
Blake Griffin is off the Olympic team now after tearing his meniscus in Olympics practice. Why would any org want any of their star players playing in the olympics now?

news is minor tear. and Del Negro said it happened at the end of the season and he opted against surgery. must have re-aggravated it. either way it's not very appealing and if this damages the Clippers' playoff chances they can kiss CP3 goodbye
Just cause they're on the same team doesn't make the injury contagious. You expect injuries out of Blake with how hard he plays.
obviously... I'm saying this will be Blake's second knee surgery. not a great situation for Paul to enter a long term contract with that type of guy as hist number 2.
Well, the Nets need somebody to rebound. Epic lulz at giving Brook Lopez a max deal.
I really want to know if Lopez can't rebound or not. He said he never went after rebounds because he would let Hump do it. He would run down the court instead. So he blamed it on his role.
I'll say it again, Lopez does average 7.5 boards a game for his career...while not ideal for a starting center, it's still not bad. He certainly can do it

Reggie Evans isn't a chump at rebounding though.
I don't buy it. I just don't think he's quick or agile enough to get to all the weird bounces. Besides, unless he's running the opposite way as soon as the shot goes up (which is obviously not the case), that's a lame excuse to make for not rebounding.

And again.. 7.5 is terrible for a 7 footer that you stick in the paint for 35+ minutes. You're telling me that out of the 75+ shots that he sees go up during a game, he was only able to land 7 of those misses? That's bad.
