I hope this is the year Taj Gibson breaks out offensively.

The Bobcats are absolutely going to be terrible. I think Shabazz and MKG would be a nice duo to build around if they land him though, they complement each other well on the court and I think competitiveness is an underrated trait in basketball players that they both have.
Bummer about K-Love's injury. Hopefully it's closer to 4 weeks than 8.

Yeah, Love and Rubio both missing the first month and change of the season will not be good to their record.

The schedule is pretty easy the first month. Still hard to feel confident without our best two players. D-Will needs to step up.
I've got confidence in him, he just needs to develop quicker than he would have. If we can somehow finish that first month 7-8 or so that would be awesome. I wouldn't put any money on it though.

Yeah. Sleep Train Arena. No joke.
May the jokes commence.

The only NBA game that I have ever been to was at ARCO Arena to watch the Kings (Webber era) beat the Spurs. That was one damn fun game to watch and that arena was rockin'!
In fact that game I went to, they retired Oscar Robinson's Kings jersey and they announced that the Kings fans won an award for being the best fans in the NBA at the time.
Pretty neat time. On the way out I remember seeing Scott Pollard and his weird facial hair design driving right next to me. Hilarious guy man.

Rony Turiaf should probably just retire after that sequence.

The Wolves this year without Love/Rubio are a lot better than they were last year without Love/Rubio.
Roy, Pekovic, Budinger, Stiesma, AK47, Shved, Derrick Williams (on his good night), Luke, JJ
I'd say still better than the Magic and the Bucks.

LOL
Anyone who counts on Roy for anything other than time on the trainer's table is foolish. Portland fans have gone through this with Roy and Oden for years now. It's just not worth it. Don't get your hopes up only to be crushed when Roy doesn't play. His career is over.
And the rest of those guys you mention would make a great bench mob, but as a starting team they are just very underwhelming.
