I hate stern because I have to listen to his stupid speech on NBA2k when it's draft day with no way skipping it, I think I've memorized it.

Give Anthony Randolph his minutes and they'll be fine. Otherwise...

If you're counting on Anthony Randolph, that isn't a good sign.

I remember when Anthony Randolph was poised to "explode" heading into that year in Golden State.

Safe to say he flopped.

26pts including 7-11 from downtown with 5 boards and 4 assists.

And to think Mike Miller almost retired after last season....

Hey BBD, serious question. Bernard King or Carmelo Anthony? Do you have a breakdown of the two to offer?

Bernard King was before my time, so honestly I don't know. He tore his ACL in 85 and was never the same. I was born in 83, so I couldn't really tell you much about him when he was in his prime.

I can give you comparisons from the 90s onward for basketball. I know 80s football well bc my uncle recorded a lot of games and I was able to watch many of them. But for basketball, I know the 90s.

Ah, noted. I mostly asked because King seems to be the player Melo is most often compared to, when using the Past/Present dynamic anyways.

Yeah I think it's bc Melo is the most dynamic scorer the Knicks have had since King. Both from Brooklyn, hometown products etc.

My personal favorite 2/3 of all time for the Knicks was Sprewell. I love Sprewell. He's probably my 2nd favorite Knick of all time behind Ewing. My top 5 favorite Knicks of all time are probably:

1. Ewing
2. Sprewell
3. Oakley
4. Houston
5. Larry Johnson

Anthony Mason, John Starks, Stoudemire, Chris Childs, Camby, then Melo probably round out my top 10-11.

The Thunder are not making the finals without Harden. Also, when I said that Anthony Randolph playing more meant that Gallo wouldn't be a huge loss, that's what I meant. Take that, Rob.

Knick fans on here have always overrated Gallo tremendously. He's good, solid. But that's it.

So who's making the Finals then? I think it's either the Thunder or Spurs, but I gotta go with Durant in that matchup.

Maybe the Clippers? Denver isn't built for the playoffs. Let it go.

I think Memphis has a better chance than Denver bc I like their frontcourt more.

I love Manimal. LOVE Manimal. But Gasol/Zeebo is can neutralize him.

They have a better backcourt. And the only reason the Thunder dominated the Spurs last year is because they couldn't contain Harden. They can beat the Thunder without Harden.

I won't deny that. But the front court is more important in the playoffs when both teams are so close to each other. I don't know, it's tough. I see them going 7 games if they play each other in the playoffs.

It's gotta be either the Spurs or Thunder for me. I just don't see anyone else.

Having Martin would have been big today. We need his defense on Durant. We have no one who can defend Durant without Martin. He should drop 40 on us today.

Copeland <3 If only he didn't suck so bad on defense, he couldve been more than just a spot duty scorer for us.

I'd go between the Grizzlies, Clippers, Nuggets and Spurs. It will be a battle. And I don't see anyone besides Miami making the East...despite your beliefs.

Take any opportunity you can to get your hands on some tapes of King, preferably before the injury, but even after the injury you can see the skill, the timing, the precision. The man just knew how to get the ball in the hoop. King was ridiculous, watching old tapes of King is what made me a knicks fan, and then when I saw Patrick Ewing make a Kahn-face scowl I was sold.

Melo's an amazing talent, but he's not as skilled a scorer as king yet, hell if you could give a season of King at his very peak versus a season of Kobe at his very peak to be my wing scorer, I pick King, to put it in a modern perspective. Ridiculous.

If anyone is gonna do it, it's gonna be us. We're the only team with a chance of beating them. Everyone else has no chance in the East.

It'll be the Spurs or Thunder out of the West but I could see any of the Grizzlies, Nuggets or Clippers being in the WCF.

Melo's an amazing talent, but he's not as skilled a scorer as king yet, hell if you could give a season of King at his very peak versus a season of Kobe at his very peak to be my wing scorer, I pick King, to put it in a modern perspective. Ridiculous.
I remember a ton of people saying it was an absolute shame that Ewing didn't really get to play his career out with King. They probably would have won several championships if they did.

:(

What could have been...

Indiana could if Miami really shits the bed, but yeah, we're gunna be the team that stops them this year.
