either kobe bryant's dislocated pinky finger is really bothering him or he's going through an incredible cold streak...he has 9 points on 3/12 shooting

Man Gasol is kryptonite to Kobe. BTW Al Horford is playing really well.

Hawks baby, JJ had one of his better outings in a couple of games, Horford had a really good game, and Smoove proved once again why he's a top 5 fantasy producer. Tonight 17 points, 9 rebounds, 9 assists, 5 blocks, 2 Steals.

Gasol has about as much inside presence as Marion would, well a little more but not enough to where Stat could play PF

I'm glad to see Horford doing well. Hopefully he really emerges at least by next year.

Why does everyone think that by adding a second scoring threat to the team will, it will help them immensely. Look at Melo and AI from last year. Instead of increasing the overall offense, they more or less just took points away from other players, but didn't really improve their own PPG.
Honestly, I really think that Gasol might be a problem for the Lakers unless he gets his act together as a better defensive C.

We can't really get mad at Gasol for playing less than stellar at C because we brought him in to play as a PF in our system. I would imagine learning two positions in the Phil Jackson system is no easy task. In time he'll improve and when we get Bynum back, with no drop off hopefully, the Lakers will be the team we know they can be.

Didn't get to watch the Suns game tonight I was out playing basketball but Stat had a pretty big night without Marion
26 points, 20 rebounds, 3 assists, 4 blocks
I don't know when Nash decided that he was going to take so many shots though, he needs to go back to his pass 1st stuff, but as i said i didn't get to see the game so I'm not sure how the Hornets were playing him
looks like CP3 really went off too, if only he was taller he could eventually get a quadruple double

But Gasol is 27. Marion is 30 at a more physically demanding position.

yea, I realize that most of his woes are injury to the pinky finger related...I mean he did have 10 assists tonight...it just means that Fisher/Odom/Gasol need to make more shots...Gasol was pretty bad shooting the ball tonight as well...

I think I saw some fatigue out there, especially with Gasol. Since friday he has had to scramble from Memphis to LA, to DC, back to Memphis(to pick up his ****), to NJ last night and tonight Atlanta...even typing that tired me out. 3rd game in 4 days, 2nd game of a back to back and Kobes jacked up pinky...spelled a lose. We still should have won though, it was close.

yea, we should have won, and I expected Gasol to be jet lagged...that means when Gasol and Kobe aren't doing well, Lamar Odom should pick up the slack...I mean he did alright tonight but he still misses the crucial shots and especially tonight he missed those crucial free throws...I think he'll be a key contributor come playoff time because he'll be playing his normal SF position but he really needs to shot the ball better....and he needs to be a facilitator...not enough assists coming from him...he used to be a triple double machine...

If the Cavs don't get help for Lebron, I've decided upon a trade to help him get out of there that I will send to him in the event it becomes apparent he won't be getting help before the deadline.
http://games.espn.go.com/nba/feature...9~19&te=&cash=
...and first rounders for ten years. They'll get Hughes off the team, a newfound beast in Turk, promising young player in Redick, and a nice amount of cap space free for free agency or whatever. And can't forget the first rounders for ten years. That's the Cavs side of it. The Magic side of it would be championships for ten years. Hooray. Everybody wins.

It was a joke as a result of me being bored and playing around with the trade machine, but yeah. Lebron should get some help immediately.

As long as the Suns don't care about money and are committed to winning the ship this year i wouldn't mind trading the Hawks 1st for Mo Williams
http://games.espn.go.com/nba/feature...8:21-846&cash=
Would finally give us a good PG off the bench and he could come in at SG as well giving Bell more time at SF and thus Diaw more time at PF & C, plus he is relatively young and could replace Nash once he retires
Nash - Williams - Strawberry
Bell - Barbosa - Williams - Piatkowski
Hill - Bell - Tucker - Piatkowski
Stat - Diaw - Marks
Shaq - Stat - Skinner

I think this is the greatest trade that could ever happen. =D
http://games.espn.go.com/nba/feature...8~18&te=&cash=
Isiah will also be thrown in.

Hornets/Suns was an amazing game last night. Peja is money.
Check out CP3's stat line: 42 points, 9 assists, 8 steals, 5 rebounds, only 1 TO (to Nash's 10). CP3 for MVP!

Jameer Nelson had a very nice game off the bench yesterday...looks like he's ready to get back into the starting lineup. I know Otis said a trade is unlikley but, I wouldnt be surprised to see us try and move Arroyo for a big at the deadline. He has played pretty well but, the Nelson/Dooling combo at the point has been fantastic and that's the way it should stay.
