Yeah, I guess I should call it "considered storied organizations"...The Knicks have always been considered a storied franchise...for whatever reason.

Mainly just because they are in NY.

Entirely because they are in New York. That said, storied doesn't necessarily mean successful, so I don't disagree with that categorization.

That's funny. How many banners are in Minnesota? How many players stay there for the duration of their career?

The Knicks are a storied franchise. People remember the James Dolan era and associate that with the Knicks but they existed a long while before that and have had a lot of success as an organization.

Madison Square Garden isn't the Mecca of basketball just because it's in NY. There's a ton of history with this organization, both good and bad.

No they haven't. Two championships in 67 years and none in over 40? That's pathetic.

The Knicks are historically, at best, the red-headed stepchild of the Celtics, an actual franchise with history and success.

Oh, and to answer your question, the Minneapolis Lakers got more championships (5) in 12 years than the Knicks will likely get in the next 200 years.

-He never implied that the T-Wolves have had any success.

-They're so storied because of their location and their arena. That arena is nothing without wrestling, for what it's worth.

Oh that's cool. I won't argue that the Lakers are a more successful organization than the Knicks.

But what about the Timberwolves? Pls respond.

why so defensive? I haven't mentioned Minnesota once. Fact is that the knicks are only "storied" if you use the Chicago Cubs definition of being based in a big city and failing in hilarious ways every year.

Dwyane Wade: healthy enough to start in a pointless All Star game, old enough to never play more than 2 games in a row because, well, he's old.

tim hardaway jr. with an impressive game, but Drummond was just too much of a beast this game and is the MVP.

Dre > Hardaway and Waiters. Talk about the real star of the game.

Mike D'Antoni is the Doug Moe of this generation.

He knows offense pretty well and he runs an offense that produces great stats and really does get as much statistically out of players as possible. He also puts absolutely no focus on defense, all of his teams have treated that as the "rest" period, they go back there try not to expend any energy and then get back on offense and go all out.

You give him enough talent and that team will be pretty successful, unfortunately its not going to beat a comparably talented team on any consistent basis, as was exemplified by the Suns.

Unfortunately at this point he has become one of those coaches who is committed to winning it his way or not at all, I think it still stings that he basically copped the blame for the Suns failure to win a title (Nash and Amare didn't try on defense before D'Antoni or after so not sure he deserves all the blame there) but as a result of copping that blame he is now committed to trying to win one his way as a game of oneupmanship just to prove it's possible. I don't know of a team that won a title with that approach so would be something to see I guess...

Be nice if they'd suck enough to be lottery along with Denver... be a miracle for us to get a top 3 pick out of it but you can always hope :)
