Well I suppose the Pistons would be better off in the future if not for the Darko pick, but the starters still have a few years left and Amir Johnson is going to be an underrated guy going into the future. And it's always nice to not have blown a lottery pick on JJ Reddick.

Cavs winning tonight in a close one, go to Boston for Game 7 where LeBron puts up 44 in a Cavs win!!! It's going to happen!

I dunno. I have this sinking feeling the Cavs lost their heart in game 5. I hope they can ride the momentum of being at home, but for some reason this just feels like a game they're gonna lose.

If the Cavs lose, it's because either Rondo goes off, Ray Ray remembers what basketball is, or LBJ is god awful, with the probability of those things happening being in that order. That's how I see it anyways.

Nah. They crawled to a win at home, no way they win in Utah tonight. If anything, Utah has the best chance of winning on the road in Game 7.

I thought you just got finished talking about Darko. The biggest #2 selection bust ever? What are you talking about???? it's nice not to have a blown lottery pick????? You haven't even seen Redick yet. He could very well turn out to be a good player for the Magic. Not a starter, but that was a weak draft. We may complain about having Redick when we could've had um... Rodney Carney...Ronnie Brewer... umm... who esle... Marcus Williams... You guys have to live with the reality of passing on Carmelo, DWade and Bosh. SUCKA!

The Celtics need to hit the glass better (defensive in particular), the Cavs are getting a ton of offensive boards.

Ronnie Brewer would've been perfect for Orlando actually.

What is it with the overly cocky fans this round? Already 0-1 this forum is on guarantees.

The Magic are better off without picks, especially first rounders because they are just awful at drafting, only good pick was Dwight Howard but that was because they were given the first pick. Look at their recent first rounders:
-JJ Redick:Passed on the likes of Ronnie Brewer, Rodney Carney, and Rajon Rondo.
-Fran Vasquez: Wasn't even lottery talent and has looked the furthest from an NBA player even this past year in the Spanish ABC, they passed on most notably Danny Granger who I at the time I was sure they would take. Having Granger would have really saved them from the disaster of a signing in Rashard Lewis.
-Drafted Anderson Varejao in the 2nd round, would have been a good pick except they traded him along with Drew Gooden and Tony Battie, for what would be Tony Battie, Martynas Andriuskevicius, and James Augustine who they drafted btw right in front of guys like Daniel Gibson and Paul Milsap.
-15th pick in 2003 they draft Reece Gaines, lol.
-Same year drafted Zaza Pachulia in the second round, again another solid pick had they not released him immediately.
-2002 1st round Curtis Borchardt(lol), but traded him immediately for Ryan Humphrey(lol.)
-2001 had two first rounders and took Steven Hunter and Jeryl Sasser, neither of him did squat for them. Took Hunter over two other big men drafted immediately after him in Zach Randolph and Brendan Haywood, and took Sasser right before a fellow position in Gerald Wallace. After the Sasser selection the next 5 or so picks in the draft consisted of the names Gerald Wallace, Samuel Dalembert, Jamaal Tinsely, Tony Parker, and Gilbert Arenas. Top of 2nd round drafted Omar Cook, a huge bust regardless of draft position based on his collegiate show.

When Carlos Boozer actually plays well, then maybe.

Yeah, I think it's evenly matched when Carlos Boozer decides to join the party. He's Houdini prone though

he's so sporadic with his game you never know who is going to show up....so therefore I don't think you can say that the Jazz are better than the lakers...
if Boozer was averaging 20+ a game in this series, then maybe...

If there's one person who cannot be blamed, it's the man that's actually playing well right now. Doc Rivers cannot coach, and is putting ****** players like Big Baby in the game instead of more skilled guys like Leon Powe. Our players have been lazy on the glass, especially PJ Brown, and we're simply playing out of control. It's pathetic, because the Cavs are playing about as bad offensively as can be, and Boston can't do anything about it because they aren't taking care of the ball in the backcourt, they're fouling anything with a pulse, and they don't seem to care about rebounds. Oh, and Doc Rivers cannot coach.

The Celtics were playing solid for about the first 18 minutes and then, out of nowhere, like they seem to be doing more and more, they hit a wall and forgot how to run their offense. Stupid **** with four guys hanging out around the arch and five white jerseys underneath to grab rebounds uncontested. Both teams just seem to be playing so ******* dumb at times. This is such a horrible game. Cleveland is lucky to not only be up, but to be up 9, and the Celtics are lucky the Cavs are only up 9. The Celtics should be running away with this game but they just don't know what the hell they are doing anymore. It makes no sense. I am trying to understand how they have all of a sudden forgotten how to run their offense. I'd feel so much better if Cleveland was doing something outstanding on the defensive end but they really aren't; it's just a straight up defense with high pressure on the ball handler. An NBA team should be able to handle it.
What is frustrating the hell out of me is Doc Rivers. All I have to say is Garnett and Pierce better play 24 minutes in the second half, and Allen better be in there as much as he can be. Put them away. Stop ******* around. Fortunately the Celtics have been a second half team this year, but that's pretty irrelevant when we've got Kevin Garnett putting up threes...

How so? He can't shoot a lick. Have you seen his shot? It's the ugliest thing in the world. He would've been sitting in the same chair that Redick is sitting in. I don't see how he's a better player than either Keith Bogans or Maurice Evans. But I would like to hear your reasoning.

It really makes no sense. I am trying to understand this, like, psychologically. I mean, does a loud crowd really affect you that much? I understand that certain calls seem to go the other way on the road, which is a sham to begin with, but I digress. But seriously, in basketball especially, I don't understand why anything suddenly changes, especially in the case of the Celtics. They had the best road record in the NBA this year, yet in the six games they've played on the road in the playoffs, they are a completely different team that actually looks intimidated and somehow manages to completely forget how to run their offense.
I'm just struggling to understand where this is coming from. I don't know enough about the other 7 teams to know what is happening differently for them on the road. It's so... strange.
