I think it's safe to say that Derrick Rose will never be contractually allowed to be anywhere within a 10 foot radius of a motorcycle.

If the Magic can't get Maggette, Mikael Pietrus would be a good signing. That guy is very underrated. Love his defense and rebounding... his scoring is not too shabby either. At least he knows his limits.

They're not interested. Otis came out and said so and his agent confirmed that the Magic didnt contact him. If we dont get Maggette, we dont even need to get a 2 Guard. It's just more of a luxury signing.

Anyway, Maggette opted out in hope of signing a contract worth $11 million per year but, he knows now that he will only be getting the MLE and the Spurs seem to be the most attractive destination for him. I'd say he goes to San Antonio or Orlando, those are probably the only two teams in it.

I'm surprised he's not getting more attention, he should command the full MLE. He is one of the top 10 perimeter defenders in the league. He is long, has great size, and is athletic.

I heard the Spurs were interested in Pietrus. I imagine he'll either go to one of the top five teams in the league, or he'll go somewhere where he can possibly start.

He was contacted by 8 teams...so, I'd say there is a lot of interest out there.

Pietrus is athletic enough to play SG or SF. His impact would be greater when Turkoglu leaves. But we need to secure someone like him on the cheap. MLE for him would be what I consider cheap.

Do you agree or disagree that Turkgolu will be gone during or after next season?

I'm not sold on Turk being gone. Otis seems pretty dead set on keeping the guys together for a long time. He went as far as saying the Forwards were untouchable and they were a part of the team's long term foundation. So, hopefully we plan on actually re-signing him.

Why would we need our MLE for Dooling? We have his Bird Rights.

Well we were expected to but, we didnt. Maybe we're just waiting to get a Maggette response or maybe he just doesnt want him?

Does he really? I wouldnt want him anyway to be honest. I dont think we need to add another PG that way. But, it does look like it could be Dooling and another player.

Of course it's going to get interesting but, the way Otis talks...it would seem like he wants him back. I honestly dont know how they could get it done but, he keeps talking about him being a part of the "long term" plans. I dont know how it's going to end up, though because, realistically it's most likely going to be very, very difficult.

Where did you hear that? Where did the Knicks get the money for that? Or if that's strictly a sign+trade, who would the Bulls take?

they reportedly offered him a 2 year deal idk for how much...and no, the Bulls have no interest in bringing him back and he isn't restricted so whoever wants him can take him, good luck
