True. That was kinda awkward. However, seeing how much bigger Duncan is than Crawford, when i first heard the quote i interpreted it as Crawford saying something more like ... "you want to fight [my authority versus yours]"... i think the fighting thing is being taken to seriously as Crawford would pose no threat to Duncan in an 'actual' fist fight lol.
Oh btw... Nuggets win it in 6..... you heard it from me first =)

Well......they got cap relief by getting rid of Raef's salary. That's the only positive thing to say.

Yet they are still well above the cap and even if they do have cap room next year, (only way is if they don't resign Al Jefferson, Gerald Green, Rajon Rondo, Delonte West, Tony Allen) no free agent would still wanna go to Boston.

I think Paul Pierce finds a way to make it to Orlando this offseason.

Can't say I saw the Raps game today because I had football but it's still great to see they got the win.
On a different note, Sam Mitchell was announced Coach of The Year today but over the past couple days there has been tons of talk that he won't be returning to the Raps next year. He'll supposedly be moving on to coach either the Bobcats or the Pacers. A rumoured replacement is the Phoenix Suns assistant coach who's name escapes me. The reason for Mitchell not returning would be that him and Colangelo are still not seeing eye to eye on some things and that Colangelo wasn't the one who hired him, so he wants "his guy" to coach the team.
Don't get me wrong I love Colangelo and all the moves he's made so far. But if he were to let Mitchell go I would be pretty dissapointed. Mitchell has really been able to get the best out of all the new players that he has gotten this year. He has really helped young players like Joey Graham and Jose Calderon develop into stronger players. You can't just let Mitchell go after he has created that comfort zone with all his players this year and after he's taken what many thought to be a possible playoff team at the start of the year to the 3rd seed in the east. Personally i've fallen in love with Mitchell as a coach, he seems to be a great motivator and he can really bring out the best in his players. The only problem I have with him is that sometimes he mismanages players minutes, but this happens rarely.
Colangelo has to come to his senses, suck up some of his pride and resign Mitchell to a multi-year deal.

THe coach you are thinking of is Marc Ioviniri(sp?). I personnally also love Mitchell, but i mean if this is what colangelo is best for the team, then i wont be sooooo pissed, COlangelo is just a God, he hasnt made any mistakes yet, its ridiculous

Yea I wouldn't be so pissed, and i'm sure it will probably work out in the end. But why would you want to mess with a good thing? Colangelo did make only one small mistake which he's been forgiven for, he signed Fred Jones, that's all. Ofcourse he traded for someone who can actually play basketball, Juan Dixon, which therefore immediately returns him to god status.

I think one of the best things about colangelo is the fact that he doesnt fall in love with his own players, some GM's(like Ainge) love his players too much, and therefor would not be willing to deal them if the right offer came along, a perfect example of this would be Fred Jones, how Colangelo realized he madea mistake and then fixed it.

I'm not quite sure I understand turn crap into gold, Juan Dixon is no different than he has been his entire career. It's not like Anthony Parker was a hidden gem he was the most dominant European player in the past era and so on.

Yeah we probably over hyped him a little because obviously Juan Dixon is no saviour. Juan Dixon is a role player who can play 10-15 minutes a game and get maybe 8 points or so and he can hit the 3 point shot. Fred Jones wasn't even seeing any playing time anymore, he couldn't hit his shots and he was struggling on defense. The trade is kinda similar to the Humphries for Araujo trade. Araujo may be the worst player in the NBA while Humphries was crucial in the later part of the season coming off the bench and getting rebounds.
With the Anthony Parker thing, yes he was really no hidden gem. But Colangelo picked him up when he had the oppurtunity, you also throw in a guy like Jorge Garbojosa and his European pick up's have faired quite well this year.

A lot of credit should go to Mau. Collangello is the man making the decisions, but his best may have been hiring Mau to be his assistant. Guys like Garbo and Parker may not have come over and Bargs may not have gotten comfortable without Mau.

Saw an interesting statistic today, supposedly Dwight Howard is the second player in NBA history to grab more than 1000 rebounds and shoot better than 60% from the field in a season, the first being Wilt Chamberlain who did it three times. Not trying to imply anything, just thought it was a very interesting stat.

Not saying Humphries is gold, but i mean Arajuo is way worse than crap. Turning Bonner and Williams into Rasho was also a great trade, Luke Jackson was a great pickup as he was great for the raps at the end of the regular season.

Thabeet going back most certainly keeps Hibbert in the draft, now that his stock is as high as ever, and with Hibbert staying in the draft, so will Jeff Green, Green mid lottery, Hibbert, mid-late lottery.
