D-Lee now has 10 straight double doubles, and Al Harrington is stepping up and becoming the go to guy for the Knicks. Also, Duhon is the most valuable person to the knicks. None of this did i see coming

and I am convinced that almost anyone can run the point in D'Antoni's system and have success, although Duhon is very solid and has show a penchant for hitting big shots, still PG's of his quality arent tough to find and i think a lot of other guys are far more valuable.

Magic won with out Dwight yesterday against a great team...good stuff. Lewis is fully capable of carrying the team on his back, it was nice to see him step it up and take charge. A fantastic player.
That was Dwight's first missed game of his career.

Rashard has been pretty impressive to me this year, on both ends of the court.
His scoring hasn't been stellar--- he's not been a 25-point-a-game guy, but it's been very consistent. He's scored at least 17 points in all but five games.

Well I guess I heard the announcers wrong, cause they said it was his 10th straight game. I guess they meant 10th double double of the season.
Btw, when the football season ends, I need a sig to pronounce my hope for the King to land in NY

Reggie Theus was fired today. Why teams will fire a coach after one season I'll never understand.

Honestly, I used to think the same thing. I thought.. he's being paid like Kobe, he should play like Kobe. But you know what I've come to realize is that this team can't afford for him to be selfish. Right now, we're winning as a team and that is way stronger than relying on any one individual night in and night out. Especially since Rashard's game relies on shooting so much on shooting and that can get hot and cold more than any other part of basketball.
I'll be satisfied with him collecting his paycheck as long as he stays healthy, plays within the team concept and most of all hits clutch shots. Hitting those clutch shots are where he needs to earn his keep imo.

There are moments in the game where Rashard really should carry this team on his back but, he rarely does. He tends to have a real hot hand in one half and not shoot in the second half and then we start giving up big lead after big lead...now, he doesnt need to be Kobe but, if he has the hot hand, he needs to keep shooting instead of passing up everything. It's like he's going out of his way not to be seen as selfish player. Sometimes he just needs to chuck it up when he is feeling it. It's just frustrating to watch him score 15-20 in the 1st and only shoot the ball like 3-5 times in the second half.
Other than that...I have no problems with Rashard. He tends to be a horrible mismatch for any PF he plays against, he holds his own on the defensive end, fantastic three point shooter, excellent turn around jumper, great when driving and a real underrated inside game, and he has turned into quite the rebounder. May have cost a lot but, he has been a great signing.

He is streaky... no doubt... classic shooter syndrome. You can get hot and cold in a matter of minutes. That's the part of his game that's under developed. He needs to learn how to score by attacking the rim. When his shot isn't falling, he can go back to that... not sure if he'll ever get there. His investment was a huge mistake anyways. He was way overpaid. The Magic fooled only themselves in thinking he was a max player.

I edited my last post...I disagree that he was a horrible signing...of course the money was bad but, I've loved the return for the most part.
As for driving to the lane...Rashard has done a lot of it. More so this year than I've ever seen him do. He has a fantastic running tear drop shot and he has the beautiful turn around jumper when his back is to the basket. He's def. more than just a jump shooter or a three point shooter. He's also improved his defense, is a constant mismatch, and is high energy guy who is an aggressive rebounder. I love the guy.
If we lose Hedo...I still really like Rashard at the 4 and Battie off the bench. It works out beautifully.

a scary thought, a rajon rondo that can shoot free throws. he's destined to fill that baron davis/allen iverson clone.
he will be a top pg in the league one day, maybe not pure pg but a top pg nonetheless.
At this point I say OJ mayo is probably the front runner for ROY. voters and fans like points, and that's exactly what he gives you.
looking back at the 2005 draft who would you rather have selected first andrew bynum or danny granger?
ps. i know david lee was still on the board ill say it now to save you knicks fans a breath.

ROY has more to do than just points, wins and losses are important as well. It's Mayo and Rose right now and then everyone else. Rose is shooting at a higher percentage (which is astounding considering he still has an inconsistent jump shot, just wait until that thing becomes consistent), his team has more wins, and his assist/to ratio is better as well. Points are important but it won't be the only factor in the voting...If Rose can get his team into the playoffs (which I think he can in a weak conference) and keeps up the season he's had so far, he takes the cake.
