Could it be that Kevin McHale is actually a good coach? 9-2 in January.

In this case it was the fact Del Negro is not a good coach.

I honestly don't know, but Al Jefferson, Kevin Love, and Rodney Carney have been playing great lately.

Yes he'll have his monthly game where he'll put up 20 points and everyone talks of how dumb the Timberwolves front office was for trading him, but outside of that he's nothing better than Telfair IMO.

Chalmers will never be a star, but he will be better than Telfair. Chalmers plays better defense and Telfair just plain cannot shoot. The guy is shooting 34% from the floor.

I just looked up Telfair's stats.
He actually is decent from 3 point range (35%) and from the free throw line (78/79%). How is he so bad from the floor? 34% is bad.
Was he not supposed to be an amazing passer out of highschool?

Flashy passer would be a better word usage. Also his FG% is bad because he has an awful mid range game and he tries to go in and finish at the rim but can't.

Sebastian Telfair is what would have happened to Jameer Nelson if he had never developed his drive to the rack and his mid-range jumper.

Telfair was just waaaaaay overhyped. For some reason, undersized PG with no jumpshot did nothing to set red flags in the minds of NBA GMs. He should have gone to Louisville to work on that jumper.

Telfair though is a much better passer and he's actually been fairly decent on the defensive side of the ball. Even when his shot is not falling, he can still have a positive impact on a game due to his passing ability, unlike Chalmers. Even Chalmers' defense I feel has been overrated, as he just really doesn't stand out as anything more than an average defender (which is also what I feel Telfair has been able to improve his game to be). Now while Chalmers likely will be a better player in the future, let's not forget that Telfair only has one year on this rookie. What Chalmers has though is a pretty much guaranteed starting position, as Miami doesn't have any better options to go with and no upcoming first round unless they land in the top 10. FYI this isn't me being homeristic on Telfair, just moreof being a downer on Chalmers. I just don't see much that I like in his game.

The Kings have been playing pretty god-awful this season. I don't understand why Brad Miller still gets a ton of PT. Starting Hawes isn't gonna make the team any worse than it already is, jesus.

I looove Chalmers. He won't be a superstar, but he's more than capable of being a PG on a championship team. He's got range, amazing defense, clutchability and his passing is improving.

i know he had a bad game but brad miller has been playing great lately... Almost a triple double from the center position thats almost unheard of. He needs to be traded asap so he can go to a worthwhile team.

Help settle a debate between a friend and I.
More deserving all-star, Jameer Nelson, or Rajon Rondo?

If LeBron wasn't putting together one of the best seasons ever in the NBA (not just offensively, but defensively too) I would tend to agree that Paul would be the clear cut MVP. His team would be WELL under .500 without him. Paul really makes everyone around him vastly better. Not to mention he's the best decision maker with the ball in his hands in the NBA.
Lakers would still be a good team without Kobe (not nearly as good as they are though) and the Cavs..well, they probably wouldn't be that great either thus the impact that LeBron has on that team.
On an unrelated note, how about those Knicks?! Great effort tonight against the the Yao-less Rockets. With Redd going down to injury I could legitimately seeing the Knicks making it in the playoffs if they can continue to play like this.
I said it earlier in the year that if the Knicks made the playoffs then D'Antoni should be in strong consideration for coach of the year. He shouldn't win it, but he should be considered. And that was before we traded our two best players in Crawford and Randolph.
It's nothing short of spectacular with what he's done with this team.
I'm just happy to see Gallinari recovering from his back problems and getting some time on the court. He's really showing some signs too. Gallinari is a better rebounder than I thought he would be which is nice.

yeah those Knicks have been so good of late, specifically D Lee. The guy is so consistent and I would love to see him in the ASG, although unlikely. Furthermore, the emergence of Wilson Chandler is exciting for Knicks fans. He has some of the tools to be a star. Finally, I really like what Duhon brings to the team. It really seems that he is a leader and makes every1 around him better.

Nelson, definitely.
Rajon Rondo can play god-awful and if the core three stand out, the Celtics can still beat you by 20.
The Magic, meanwhile, depend on Nelson to hit those big threes and make those essential free-throws after driving to the lane.

Chandler's actually been slumping lately but it's probably just because this is his first full season playing and he's just beat right now.
Gallo though has been great, he does everything for us. He's a great shooter, exceptional decision maker, a strong passer, has been a better than expected grabbing boards and playing D the kid does everything for us out there. If he had been healthy all season we'd be a playoff team right now with a shot at the 4/5 matchup.
