Sig Bet
Any Falcons fans want to make a sig bet on the game tomorrow. I mean you guys still have Roddy White and Laurent Robinson, right?

I think iloxyhomer is offline, so we're out of luck.

I lived up to my end of the bargain, and you can call me homer all you want, but lets look at Roddy's stats...yeah...he's pretty awful...
65 receptions 995 yards 5 TDs 41 catches for first downs.
vs.
55 receptions 978 yards 6 TDs 36 catches for first downs.
by the way that's the comparison between Roddy White and the WR you're ready to name the almighty himself.
Then let's look at the rookie...on the season...
28 catches...294 yards...9 for first downs
For a team with Joey Harrington as a QB, and 3rd string guards starting in tackle spots and a myriad of injuries that get overlooked due to the Vick influence and the Petrino stories. I'd say those 2 guys are doing a damn fine job...and if me being able to actually understand that makes me a homer...then...so be it.
As far as everything else is concerned...24 you have no reason to be in here...you didn't have parts necessary to man up on the bet.

You're not a homer for saying Roddy White was good, you're a homer for what you said about our players before the game and how you denied everything afterward.

Sounds like a typical Falcons fan. Never really ready to man up and admit their franchise is a fraud, their GM is a fraud and that their fans are frauds.

I can't disagree. All he does is downplay everything good that we did and overemphasize everything good (not much) that the Falcons did/make excuses.

I showed facts in my arguments...if you can't see that...it's because you're a hater. I understand...you guys won...but your team wasn't really impressive...no need to open this up again. But don't come here and try to act like I'm an idiot, or homer. I'm a fan, but not a homer, I showed facts and you just wanted to see things the way you wanted to.

There wasn't one unit on our team that was anything but impressive against your team. We made your team look silly. What does it take to impress the almighty iloxyhomer? Do we have to beat you 80-0? We've never been the kind of team that runs up the score, because our offense is all about long drives and clock management. Our defense completely shut you down so there's not more we can ask from them. We even forced and recovered a fumble that was ruled back in favor of the Falcons when video clearly showed June was down. There was also the Dunn fumble that could've gone either way as an incompletion or fumble. You guys got all the calls and we still whooped your sorry ******* asses. Keep making excuses and undermining our football team, none of us care. You just make yourself sound more silly. If we're not impressive, you have the worst football team in the history of the league.

I have to disagree liloxy. When they beat us, they were pretty dominant. Their passing game was working very efficiently and taking advantage of the mistakes our DBs made. Their run game had no problem at all. Their defense brought the pressure and shut down the run. Very complete team during that game.

I have no reason to be in here? I wasn't aware you had the authority to prevent me from being here.
I didn't partake in the bet because there were several other Buc fans already participating who would allow your sorry ass to wear that brilliant sig I made for you. There was no risk on my part, yet I was still able to reap the rewards. There is a reason it is called a bet; because you are never really now what is going to happen. You were confident of a Falcon victory, but the uncertainty of gambling proved to be your undermining. Hopefully this lesson will stop you from making bets in the future ilhomeril.

All that is fine and dandy, but your team got destroyed. It will happen again today. Your team can have all the "Free the convicted criminal" shirts and "We hate Bobby Petrino" shirts they want, they are going to get blasted again today.

Again...still not impressed. I haven't watched today's game yet...and you beat us up real bad according to the store...but from what I've seen...not looking good for Atlanta except Norwood...who got hurt. But giving you a touchdown by Redman making a dumb throw...and giving up the first kick return TD in the history of the Bucs. But obviously there's plenty of points to be scored by the rest of your team as this one goes on.
My point in the first game is your team was not impressive. We are a bad team, and you didn't impress me. I know we have a bad team, I know this year is insane, and I know that no team has had to deal with everything the Falcons have this year. Against a good team the Bucs don't have much of a chance. I'm talking in the grand scheme of things, and if you can't catch that, well then that's your own fault. You called out things, I refuted them with FACTS, and you still didn't accept it.
I didn't say you COULDN'T be here...I said you have no reason to be here...you didn't have what it took to step up then...but I can't keep you out of anywhere, didn't say I could.

In two games we beat you by a combine 68-10. What more do we have to do to prove ourselves to the very man himself who thinks Roddy & Laurent are stud receivers? We don't have the kind of offense that runs up the score on teams. We're very conservative and we hardly tested you deep all game. Here's a stat for you to put things in perspective: 48 carries today! We had almost 43 minutes of clock today as well. That's complete and utter domination. We pounded your defense to oblivion and there was nothing you could do to stop it, even with Jeff playing like crap coming off the injury. Your offense had 133 net yards with 3 fumbles and 4 turnovers. Your team might be a disgrace but there are very few teams in this league that can pound anyone and control the clock like we did. There are also very few defenses that can just shut a team down to the point where they look like HS kids.
I don't know what you have against our team, but you just keep making yourself sound more ridiculous. We can compete with any team in the league because of our defense, running game, and ball security. We lost to Jacksonville by 1 point despite dominating them and they are considered one of the best teams in the league. Once again, we had the opportunity to be like the Patriots and run up the score on your team, but we took our feet off the gas pedal despite numerous Falcons disgracing the field with their antics after the plays. DeAngelo Hall is a shameful player and if he was on my team I'd trade him immediately.

DeAngelo Hall is probably the best CB in the league. It'd be shameful if you traded him.

I don't care how good he is. I wouldn't want a cancer like that on my football team.

Oh, I took what you said the wrong way. I thought you meant shameful to describe his talent.
Anyway, I'd disagree with you, I don't think he is a cancer. I don't think him hyping himself is detremental to the team...

Yeah, I'd be pretty blind if I thought his talent was shameful. That Galloway breakup on a slant was gorgeous.

Lets just leave ilhomeril to his opinions. He is entitled to them...
No matter how factual they are.

To say you'd trade him is foolish. I know everyone painted him as a cancer when he was after Petrino and that's the image everyone has of him, but obviously Petrino was the problem, and ditched everyone, Hall is still around...and embraced here. Cancer? Not hardly...passionate, exceptional talent, who is becoming a great leader...top 3 corner in the league. Go ahead trade him away...you'll be flipping burgers with moves like that.

Deangelo Hall is bonehead, who cant keep his emotions in check, and takes stupid penalties, and takes things way too far. Those things can kill a team. Just like they did today, on that personal foul, which led to the bucs having first and goal at the 1
