All American Football League has draft
Eric Crouch drafted by the Texas team, Peter Warrick by the Florida team. Don't know if this is where this would go but I guess it's news:

Symons and Kingsbury are on the same team...ha. Nice to see the system QB has a home some where.
Pretty sweet to see Mroz and Chad Owens in this league.

Now this is supposed to be a spring league, right? Not direct competition for the NFL? If so, and combined with the concept, I kind of like it. Florida has a decent WR corps in Warrick, McGriff and Doering. I mean... for what it is. I know first hand that if they are playing off the UF/FSU fan base, this will be a success down there...

No, that is still in development...that one is much more serious than this one. That one may actually have some real nice talent.

oh ok, yea ive been trying to keep my eye out for the start of that, seems like it might really get off the ground fast...I was just curious what level this was on
Im guessing not as big as Arena 1 but bigger then Arena 2? or maybe its bigger then Arena 1 football, and as far as Peter Warrick goes he should of set the nfl on fire, he's one of the most puzzling bust ive ever seen in my life, he should of been a steve smith type player on the field but im guessing he got really lazy

The All American Football League is a professional American football league. The league, which combines a professional pay structure with the requirement that all players be college graduates. The All American Football League, scheduled to begin play in April 2008, is a professional American football league in which all players must possess a four-year university degree. The players will be employees of the AAFL rather than of the franchises, and the league will pay each player an average compensation of approximately $100,000 to year 'round player employees and $50,000 to season-only players to attract the best non-NFL talent. The AAFL's inaugural Draft took place on January 26, 2008.
For its first season, the AAFL has six franchises. Although there is no indication that nicknames would never be used, due to fans' reactions as of January 1, 2008, the teams continue to be referred to as "Team Florida", "Team Texas", etc. The teams are:
Alabama - ( Birmingham, Legion Field), coached by Mike Jones, former head coach of Frankfurt in NFL Europa. The team includes former Crimson Tide players (Reggie Myles, Alonzo Ephraim, and Marcus Spencer) and Kendall Mack from the Auburn Tigers.
Arkansas - (Little Rock, War Memorial Stadium), coached by Ron Calcagni. Signed players include former Razorback stars Clint Stoerner and Anthony Lucas
Florida - (Gainesville, Ben Hill Griffin Stadium) coached by Shane Matthews. Signed players include former Gators quarterback Chris Leak and former FSU standout and 1st round draft pick, Peter Warrick. The home opener will be played at Jacksonville and the final home game will be at Tampa.
Michigan - (Detroit, Ford Field), coached by John Fontes, former assistant coach of the Detroit Lions. Players have been signed from the University of Michigan, Michigan State University, and other colleges.
Tennessee - (Knoxville, Neyland Stadium), coached by Andy Kelly. Signed former UT kicker, James Wilhoit.
Texas - (Houston, Rice Stadium), coached by former University of Houston coach John Jenkins

Pretty surprising to see how late some of the guys w/ some pro success were drafted.
Where has Eric Kresser been for the past 10 years and why was he drafted so high?

that's not how the draft worked... Each team had a few protected states... Anyone who played college in those states were eligible to be protected by that team... they would be filled into the middle rounds. Guys like Chris Leak, Peter Warrick, Ryan Moore, etc... were all protected by Florida. The draft was 50 rounds, but Florida protected 40 guys, so only their first 5 picks and their last 5 picks were actually drafted.
