I hadn't heard anything; although it is Wikipedia so you should be careful how much stock you put into it. :D

I haven't heard anything about it, so I would think it's not true.

Yep, we signed a guy that can't keep out of trouble, who's already suspended for 8 games at a position we are deep at. Come on, at least make up something somewhat possible.

Yeah...it's not like the Packers would ever sign a guy that is routinely in trouble that another team cut because he was a complete fuckup. Oh wait...

We're looking for someone to take over as a GM (now that Ricky Bobby got banned) in the National Fantasy League. I'm a GM myself, it's really fun. You would be GM of the New York Mafia and sign FAs and players Ricky Bobby already drafted. +rep if you do it.

A little bit better news regarding today's camp, especially about Rodgers.

Good to see both Jones and Rodgers are doing well thus far. IF he gets much more strength on that arm of his, the Pack will have another QB with an absolute cannon to take over in like 30 years.

With Favre gone, backup Aaron Rodgers got more work than usual in the morning and hoped to take full advantage of it. Entering his third season behind Favre and coming off a broken foot, Rodgers put everything he had into his off-season, trimming down from 228 pounds when he first became a Packer to 217 this season.
|
Well that's good I guess.
Quote:
|
"I want to look as attractive as possible this pre-season," said Rodgers. "Every year that passes gets closer to me having an opportunity to start, be it here or somewhere else. The heat's turned up: third-year guy, second year in the offense, it's time to show what I'm all about."
|
Not sure what to make of that. I'm sure he just wants to play though, no big deal.

The death of Byrd seemed to weigh on Favre, who threw four interceptions during team drills in the evening.
|
He might miss a couple practice, but after 16 years it's not that important that he's there.

Of course, because Jesus is second to God.

I did say that if the Pack locks a playoff spot/ or is completly out of the race that Rodgers could start week17

I agree with him on some part, I think Favre will play one quarter and if he has the records then Rodgers would come in.

Looks like the first team offense is in sync... Favre going to be out, DD out, Morency out. Toss in Humphrey with the broken leg, and things look just peachy. I hate seeing this stuff so early. Looking at backups is fine and all, but they're backups for a reason.
Is the defense looking that much better than the offense?
I also read TT's interview with McGinn. TT wimped out of a number of questions regarding players on other teams. I'd much rather him come out and said, "We looked at Moss and decided he's a coach-killing cancer that we didn't want to deal with on a team this young and a coach that doesn't have the credentials to pimp-slap him if he gets uppity." TT holds back information like a politician.
Well, at least TC has started and there'll be daily information on the players.
