Jehuu Caulcrick, FB, Michigan St.
What do you guys think of this guy? Can he be a power running back do you think?

I think he is too big to play as a running back, so fullback is better. He may be a 6th-7th round pick at best.

Likely UDFA because he's slow and big. Very good Short Yardage back (i'd def. take him).
Issue is, he's not a fullback. He's not a great inline blocker.
Looking for a good UDFA Fullback, Dionte Johnson(OSU) or Rolly Lumbala (Idaho)

I'd draft him. He has MAN power. Unlike most big backs he is not a tip toer, ie TJ Duckett and Ron Dayne. He runs you over and can actually surprise with his speed when he gets to the secondary.

The guy runs with some serious, serious authority and mean streak. I think he could really excel (in a limited capacity, seeing as full time duty doesn't suit him) in the right setup.

Jehuu Caulcrick is not a fullback. Where do people get these ideas? Is Jorvorskie Lane a FB too because he's big? Fullbacks have to be good blockers and receivers, and they have to know the position well. Caulcrick doesn't do any of those things.
Caulcrick is a big power back like Mike Alstott (when he was in that role) or Najeh Davenport. He's not too lanky and I've seen him run for solid yards once he gets to the sideline. He will be a great short-yardage back and I think he can be a 6th rounder that contributes right away. Another great point made here is that he doesn't dance or try to be elusive. He runs straight-ahead with power.

Very true. Jehuu is not a fullback at all and does not want to be a fullback. He is extremely hard to bring down in short yardages, he wills himself for more yards. If he can get in a groove, look out as he will drag players with him and if he ever gets stood up he turns himself around and just drives the player backwards til he gets the yardage. Sometimes he does dance, but thats usually when they give him a play that he shouldn't have, such as a toss or a sweep. He will never be a full time back, but he should be able to be a goalline back if someone is willing to give him the chance, I just don't know if he will get that chance.

here are a few jehuu highlights:
http://youtube.com/watch?v=N_cSqh0hyOc&feature=related
Only a few in there, not a very good video but one of his best runs ever is in it versus Kent State (the first highlight of Jehuu). No one on that team could tackle him.
http://youtube.com/watch?v=QAljSBJrOrQ
Some more vs Notre Dame his junior year.
I wish I could find more of his senior year runs because those were by far his best, but I can't find too many unless you want to watch whole game highlights.

I was at every home game last year and watched every away game. You hit the nail on the head. If he keeps his weight at about 250 he not only has the power but surprisingly has good straight line speed. He's not as fast as TJ Duckett but is much more shifty in the open field and has no problem putting a lick on the defender. He could be a poor man's Lendale White or Jerome Bettis in the NFL. In high school he was clocked in the high 4.4's at 235lbs so I wouldn't be surprised if he still ran in the mid to high 4.5's, but it will depend on what his weight is at. In 2006 he was weighing in at close to 270 and looked slow. Last year he weighed in at 255 and looked a lot faster and quicker imo.

He was fast at 235lbs in high school. He even ran track. In all the high school highlights, he was looked quicker and was running away from everyone. He was a power running back with speed. I don't know why he every put on that much weight in college. He's not a fullback.
He'll be later round, but if he slims down, someone is going to get a steal.
At the very least, he's a great goal line runner now.
Is he invited to the combine?

There used to be a highlight video of Caulcrick on YouTube, but I guess they took that off. It was mainly of him, and now, I can't find it. Anyways, I've been thinking about this for a while, and I think I want Caulcrick more than Forte now considering what we'll have to give up for Forte in the third round instead of using it on something more useful like an offensive tackle, defensive end, linebacker, or wide receiver. Tell me what you guys think, especially you Falcon fans.

For anyone that wants to know more about him, this was from an article today in a local newspaper about him training for the combine.
Caulcrick says he’ll be a guest on ESPN2’s ‘‘First Take’’ on Wednesday in the 10 to 10:30 a.m. time slot.
