Mel Kiper Jr VS Mike Mayock
Who would win in a scout-off!?!?!?!
Basically which of the two is better at scouting talent, making predictions, etc
BTW if you couldnt tell by the poll im not too happy with McShay

Kiper is the Godfather of the draft. If you look at the end of the day (i.e. when the draft hits,) Kiper is right on. It takes him a bit, but he gets there. No doubt. Kiper>Maycock=darnik

14. No knocking Mel Kiper, Jr. a) Regardless of how you feel about him he is "The Godfather" of the NFL Draft and all draftniks owe him a debt of gratitude for helping to make it the event that it is today.

I have no problems with either. But I will go with Mayock. I trust everything he says in regards to the draft.

They are from two different era's of draft analysis. Mayock tends to show us more analysis and game film, but he's only known a time where knowledge about the draft was prevalent. Kiper, both due to his history and his network, tends to dumb down what he describes a little bit.
I don't think either is all that fantastic, but Kiper definitely means more to event.

Mayock! Kiper is more arrogant in his town, I like the analysis that Mayock brings, and he has some much enthusiasm when he talks about the game and prospects. I def. like Mayock much better!

Gotta go with the Godfather, Mel Kiper.
Edit: I wish ESPN would fire that trash McShay, I'm tired of listening to his BS.

Mel is a god when it comes to the draftniks! Mayock is the guy that says things you don't want to here. He is very honest! An example is when Kalif Barnes and Alex Barron were drafted. All other experts had Barron rated over Barnes, except Mayock. He chose Barnes as the better player. A few years later Barnes has proved Mayock right. I like them both as draft analysts.

Kiper is the godfather of the draft, but Mayock is alot more informative to me, Kiper has gone into doing mocks about politics, not evaluting talent, some of his early mocks are way off, even though by the draft he is closer on, but he hasnt been the most informative guy the past few years...I still watch him on draft day because its like dick clark on new years eve, but I go to Mayock when I want to learn something I didnt already know.

I voted for Mayock mainly because I watch NFL Network all the time and very rarely watch ESPN, so I don't really follow Kiper like I did years ago. Mayock gets a lot of tv time and I enjoy watching him breakdown players.
