Bears:

Offense- Greg Olsen. It's hard to be a darkhorse and a 1st round pick, but I'm tellin ya, this kid is going to come into his own this year.

Defense- Dusty Dvoracek. I've always loved Dusty. He was looking great last year before he got hurt again. Durability is a concern, but he's been great when healthy.

I don't really think the Buccaneers have a lot of darkhorse type players but I suppose I few may qualify.

Offense - Maurice Stovall has been hinting at a break-out for a while now and hopefully he gets his chance this year. Another receiver I think might have a semi-decent shot is Paris Warren provided he can come back injury free.

Defense - Hmmmm. Jovan Haye might be one but he had quite a good season last year. I can't really think of anyone who qualifies as a darkhorse to be honest.

On Offense I think there's going to be a big impact made by Dante Rosario.

Everyone is looking to DeAngelo Williams and or Dwayne Jarrett to step up or even at TE Jeff King, but Dante is faster than King and arguably has better hands. Out of the backfield, at TE or Split wide in a chris Cooley type of mold he could be a decent contributor. Not in the 800+ yardage arena but around the 300-500 mark with 3-5 TDs isn't out of the question.

On Defense I think Stanley McClover or Charles Johnson will come through at RDE, Johnson made some nice plays in limited action which is good for a third round pick facing the best blocker on a team.

I hope he gets bigger and stronger and finally takes pressure off pep.

Pats:

Offense-Chad Jackson- buried on the depth chart with so much talent last year, but with stallworth gone look for him to get more of a shot

Defense-Brandon Merriweather- He started to play more towards the end of the year and in the playoffs, but with Wilson and Samuel likely gone, I think he gets many more snaps and has a chance to be really good.

Bengals

Offense: Kenny Irons: Freak accident during preseason, hopefully comes back healthy to answer many RB questions.

Defense: Ahmad Brooks: Season ending injury by game 2. Showed flashes of greatness in game 1 vs the Ravens.

Not Mark Bradley?

Anyway, for the Colts, there's not much to pick on offense, I guess I'll go with Gonzalez because he could have a pro bowl season next year.

As for defense, I'll wait until after the draft to make my pick.

Two players I could see contributing big time on defense if Parcells keeps them around long enough are Jason Allen and Rodrique Wright.

Both were starting to come along nicely and show some good potential late in the year when they were given more reps.

On offense: Teddy Ginn!!! Come on, did you really not expect that?? :D

redskins dark horse difference makers:

Offense - antwaan randle el, wr - i think that if the skins are able to pick up a possession wr through fa or in a trade that could open up the slot for antwaan who could be used similar to wes welker was for the pats and a lot like he was in pitt when they had hines and plax.

Defense - hb blades, lb - with mcintosh's injury potentially holding him out a few weeks to start the season blades should be given the chance to step in like he was at the end of this past season. i truly think that he will be a future perennial 100+ tackle ILB just like london fletcher. the more time he gets on the field the better he seems to get.

Yeah, if we're including the Draft, the pass-rusher and the #2 back the Colts select are top candidates. Gonzo is a stud, I don't think he's a darkhorse in any way.

If I had to pick from the current roster:

Offense - Dylan Gandy/Charlie Johnson. These two are the leading candidates for the right guard position, where I think Johnson is ideally suited as he's not good enough to play tackle.

Defense - DE Keyunta Dawson/ CB Dante Hughes. Dawson played both DE ad DT, even starting at DT for the last quarter of games plus the playoffs game against San Diego, I think he has an even bigger impact with his rookie year under him and more PT. I also include Hughes because he could very well win the starting nickel corner job in 08, likely in his progression to be a starter come 2009.

Special Teams - CB Michael Coe. Another late round pick like Dawson, I think Coe is going to be a monster on ST. Only had the chance to play in 6 games, and he made a number of plays.

I was a big fan of Vickers' at Colorado, and he was much more than just a blocker there. He can run with the ball and catch better than most fullbacks I've seen. They had their offense tailor fit for him at CU and I believe he was playing a position called "V-Back". Beast.
