I didn't get to see much of the game, but there was one drive inparticular where Warner was forced to throw FOUR straight short passes in a row because of pressure from the Vikings. That's ridiculous.

Lots of Cards games live in Australia this season, but they've largely been the train wrecks.
Not really the form you want to be taking into the Playoffs. This is when a team should be ramping up their effort.
Hoping against hope they are so embarassed by recent efforts they come out in that home playoff with a big chip on their shoulder and a fire in the belly. Something surely is missing atm.

Its been awhile since you guys made the playoffs, so I know its gonna be crazy at your stadium... cant wait to watch it. Its like a past vs future QB show... not saying Warner is past cuz he is playing great, but thats just what im calling it

What do you guys think about this trade:
(This is using the current draft order)
Arizona Trades:1st Round(21) 800 pts
Oakland Trades: 2nd round(39) 510 pts, Justin Fargas(Him and Hightower should give you guys a very good 1 2 punch at RB) and our 5th(135) 38.5 pts
In the end you guys fill a need in RB, pick up a early 2nd rounder and add another pick to add depth at a position. With your 2nd you could probably get a OG like Herman Johnson and with your other 2nd get defense.
Oakland doesnt need to have 3 good RB's and we will be able to pick up a WR and OT with the 1st rounders we get.(Monroe and Maclin or Crabtree and Eben Britton) Or possibly go BJ Raji with the last 1st rounder we got

I'd pass. Not really a big fan of Fargas, and he's not going to run anywhere behind the O-Line we have right now. I'd rather keep #21 and take Duke, and then pick up a RB in the 2nd or 3rd.

Guys, what do you think about Edgerrin James wanting out? He showed he still has a burst last game, and if he has a good playoff run, we could see the guy's stock rise quite a bit. Is Hightower your guy's future back? Either way, he's gone, so the way I see it, why not trade him to Denver, with a year on his contract? He's a one cut no nonsense runner, (and his ypc average does not support that claim) who can block (even though he's sick of it) and I think he fits the physical mold of the type of back we try to use. We tried to sign edge a few years back, it never worked out, do you think he would be a good fit in Denver in a 2 back system in which he gets 60% of the carries?

Hey guys, theres a forum mock thats being set up if anybody is interested. There are still something like 12 GM spots available if people are interested.
For people that haven't participated in a forum mock in the past they should check it out, they are tons of fun.
Sign-up deadline is tonight, so try to hurry.

Congrats on the win guys, your defense really stepped up. They really controlled the line of scrimmage, never allowed the Falcons to establish a running game, and forced Ryan to make rookie mistakes. They also had the snap count measured really well.
And the offensive line played really great. No sacks allowed and a good running game. Mike Gandy couldn't have gotten a better birthday gift.
So once again, congrats!

Matt Ryan is a rookie, and your team was one of few to show that.
You guys played pretty different from your regular season stats. Ran it well on us, and we couldnt stop Warner on big plays... a lot of them. Keith Brooking pretty much robbed us of a chance to win the game, but it happens. Tough loss for us, but itll be even tougher for you guys, knowing already that whichever team you face, you lost to them earlier this year. Barely to the Panthers at their place, and slaughted by the Giants at yours.... Good luck, youre gonna need it. We woulda needed it as well

Good job beating Atlanta. If that defense can continue to play like that and dominate the LOS, they could go far in the playoffs.

good job being classy ATL fans, this was the team that showed up before we clinched the division, D-line was vicious, I will take 4/5 offsides penalties if they can get penetration like that on every play. DRC holding White to 7 yards a catch was huge seems Ryan was looking his way on every play. And of course ya gotta love Edge.

As they say it's always hard beating the same team twice in a season

The guys played one of their best games all year. Dockett and Berry were nearly unstoppable on the D-line. DRC had a really good game and Hood had his moments. The O-line actually didn't look that bad today. Edge had another good game. Not really much to complain about. Although it seemed like Ryan was completing every pass he threw for awhile. The Cards need to get better on those short passes. Ryan had completed 18/22 passes at one point in the game. Hopefully Q is fully rested/healed for the next game.

this was the first good thing Ralph Brown has done since he had a game winning INT against the Redskins with this Giants back around 2002 or so... congrats on the win!

Well, if you can beat Seattle, St. Louis, and San Francisco 2 times in the same season, Im sure the Giants and Panthers could do it too

San Fran. almost beat us one game and so did Seattle. SF lost it on the 1 yard line and we beat Seattle one game with a DRC interception with about 30 secs. left in the game. So yes, it is hard to beat the same team twice in the same season. We played the Giants and the Panthers pretty good the first time around, I'm confident that we will at least keep it close.

One of the local news channels just showed something I though was interesting, the reason our D-line was getting to the QB so quick and predicting the count is because right before the ball is snapped Matt Ryan lifts his left heel, so the D-line was just keying off of that

hey guys congrats on the win! In a way I'm glad the interceptions really pilled up because any Panther fan or coach who thought that Jake Delhomme had been even close to mediocre was fooling themselves.
I usually despise a team after a loss like this, but I don't really hate the Cardinals. I think its because I see how the Panthers were a in 03, they just WANTED it more.

Unfortunately I only got to see the 4th quarter of this game because my asshole friend abandoned me and two of my other friends about an hour and a half away from where we live so we had no way to get home. The run game looked good and so did the O-Line. The one thing I would like to see worked on is the goal-line formations. None of those runs by Hightower were going anywhere.
