Who would you rather bring back as coach?
Sort of an odd question, but it needs to be asked!

HA! It was at that point I knew he was destined to coach the Lions.

I always liked Mooch. He had to suffer through three of our busts (Joey - Crog -BMW) give him some talent, and I think he would do better. Hire him put the WCO back in and trade for Matt Schaub.

Ross just retired from coaching. He was the head coach of army.
And Mooch will be back in in the NFL or college soon.
Marty was always a good coordinator/QB coach, but he is certainly no head coach.

im not sure mooch will be in a huge hurry i expected to see him take the MSU job but he didn't and i dont see an NFL team bringing him on as a HC or even OC mayb a position coach but thats about all i see his system in outdated and just doesn't work as of right now

I agree that Mooch got a raw deal in Detroit under Millen, however I agree with Xiomera that Ross could have turned this franchise around.
As a side point, Jauron should probably be on the list as well.

Forgot about Jauron . . . I'll try and add him.

He had health problems. The only time I have seen him since he coached Detroit was at Barry Sanders HoF induction speech. lol

It's gotta be Mo in my opinion. Fontes should've had much more success than he did. Coach Ross quit during the regular season. I never like the west coast offense, even though we built it around players who weren't designed for the scheme (Joey, Mike Williams etc.), so Mooch and Marty are out. Mo was never really given a chance here, so why not?

Bobby Ross was an ok coach if I remember right, but an even worse GM than Matt Millen.
I definitely say Gary Moeller.. The guy had us winning football games, which is much more than I can say for the other guys

Gotta be Fontes, not only was he the only recent coach to make us respectable. he had the best sweaters, outside of Parcell's old Giants, that ive ever seen.
